Damn, I just read your Forum thread about these, that "incorrect specifications" dude was a total Jackass. Anyways, thank you for the info and video! These will definitely be on Order for my 17 FiST soon! Gotta get it ready for track use

Nice video, how much brake fluid do you typically use to bleed out the system?

do you need to disconnect the battery first or not necessary? for my G35, the FSM stated to disconnect the battery because of the traction control system. Thanks!

Do you have to put the old/original bleeder screws back on after you're done bleeding? My dad told me you did, but I don't know if that's right. Can you drive the car safely with speed bleeders on? Or do they have to come off?
@BenFreedmanRacing3 жыл бұрын
They stay on. Speed bleeders are ultimately the same as a normal bleeder screw but instead of being completely hollow inside they have a check valve that only allows fluid/air to flow out. When a bleeder screw is tightened down (OEM or Speed Bleeder) the tip of a bleeder screw makes a seal against a concave portion in the caliper that keeps hydraulic fluid from coming out of the hollow portion of the bleeder screw and that is what is important.

This is brilliant , thank you. I have a newer Fiesta ST MK8. (2021, WG series) Anyone with any idea what the speedbleeder size is for this later model? If I take it off to measure, it’ll just suck in air, right? Where can I find out?
@BenFreedmanRacing3 жыл бұрын
If some threads are showing you can measure with a caliper, it’ll be metric and there’s probably only one thread pitch used for them us just need to find the diameter of the threaded portion most likely

Where did you find these?

The Speed Bleeder website is in the description, I would go to their site and call them directly to get the best help possible. The part numbers are also in the description but I would check to see if you have M10 or M7 in the rear before you order
