It's sad they cut the part where Koji asks why Manabu expects a lot from him, and Manabu says he could simply tell that he is a formidable foe, and even he doesn't want to go up against Ayanokoji. I feel like that would be an epic moment to show how much of a menace Koji really is.

I see what anime is trying to do by making Ayanokoji not interact with Nagumo cause Nagumo is more of the SIDE antagonist in Y1, they are doing this like with Ryuen where Ayanokoji also never interacted with him past 2 seasons until the end of 2 episodes of S2 so that's what they are doing here as well cause this was more about Sakayanagi as an antagonist.

i think its good to cut those long and unnecessary conversation and only show keypoints that will progress the story, because to be honest no one wants to watch a yapping episode every week right now people really wants to see some action and something is really going on, but for those people who really want to understand the story they can just read the LN.

They made her cry in front of Manabu, so that illustration its not gonna happen and honestly this change makes more sense, yh it's sad to see that iconic illustration go, but i think Suzune showing her crying to Manabu instead for Kiyo is sweeter in my opinion. They can still do next ep but i doubt it.

I am telling you to read from volume 1 ( ayanokoji's character is different like a normal boy ) or at least read from volume 4 as his actual character starts to come

I think why there's so much cut content is because the Light novel covers too much and anime couldn't fit all that in into a single season or a single episode of 24 minutes, so cannot expect anything ig. I dont think it's that bad though.

Yes, the reason is because Lerche only has 13 episodes to adapt several dialogue-dense volumes. Realistically, for CotE to be a great anime adaptation, each season would need to be double cour/24-26 episodes. The fact of the matter is that the majority of these scenes are fairly important, either for down the road, or just for immediate character growth and insight, so even skipping some of these scenes are not ideal. To be fair though, I don't think Lerche really has a say in how many episodes they get to cover each season, so they're working with what they have. It's unfortunate, but you have to view the anime as a super abridged version of source material to be alright with it, especially if you're a LN reader. This is where I can't really fault Lerche, since they in a very unenviable position and have to make the best of what they've got. The alternative would've been to adapt a volume less per season to have more time to fit in meaningful scenes and conversations, but again, I don't know how much influence they have over decisions like that. That said, Lerche has made a very clear and conscious decision to make Ayanokoji edgier in the anime than he already inherently is in LN by doing the utmost to remove almost all emotions from him and make him colder and harsher whenever and wherever possible, so that is something you can absolutely dislike them for if you're not a fan of that, which I imagine most LN readers would not be.
