Hi Rick! Congrats on completing the 1968 Topps set! Way to finish it off with probably the most iconic card of the 1960s. It would be either that or the Pete Rose. How cool that you were able to acquire all the cards from your childhood that you remember. It’s funny how certain cards stay with us in our minds. I got a few cards in the mail the other day, and they were ones I had as a kid. The funny thing is, I hadn’t seen them in person in probably close to 40 years. I don’t go to card shows like you, so when I see cards from my childhood, it’s the first time I’ve laid eyes on them since I was probably 10 or 11 years old. I love the background on the Bob Reinhard card. I find some of the choices for the backgrounds in the 1950 Bowman football set to be fascinating. Is he at a football game or a barroom brawl? Haha. I didn’t know Nate Colbert was that good. Boy, he is one happy man on that card. I believe Cobb hit five home runs in a doubleheader too. I recall reading that he did it to prove to people he could hit home runs like Babe Ruth. Who knows if that’s true. Nice ’69 El Tiante! The Golden Era HOF Ballot has five guys I would love to see get in, and Tiant is one of them. If I had to pick three, like the committee, I would go with Parker, Allen, and Boyer. It’s so hard to leave Garvey and Tiant off, but I’d have to save them for the next time around. Great story about your bartering days as a kid-you had some pretty nice cards come your way. Thanks for sharing!

Looking for childhood cards through boxes and boxes and then finally finding it later, sure brings back memories...of just about every week for me. LOL Great video Rick. Have a great Thanksgiving my friend.

Congrats Rick on finishing the 68 set what a great Nolan and koosman rookie. I know you already know this but a suggestion for your ungraded 69 Nolan is send it to his charity and get it autographed. Cheers my friend.

Edison, that's a great idea for the 69 Ryan. I hadn't even given it a thought. Are you going to Pasadena this weekend?
