My husband and I started dating during the last couple of months of high school. We got married about 2 1/2 years later...he was 19 and I was 20. In CT you needed parent permission to get married if you were under 21! So our mothers went to the town hall with us to get the license! We will also be married 50 years in January of 2022.

I am now knitting my third pair of socks - I am ADDICTED! Knitting using your vanilla sock pattern on 9” circulars is super easy and super fun! I tried the magic loop method but I think I knit too tightly, and I struggled to slip the needle ends back and forth, but with the 9” circulars, I can just knit round and round and it goes very fast! Your tutorial on using 9” circulars was very helpful. Thank you so much!

Congratulations to all the winners! I saw the video where you steam blocked the other Christmas stocking. If you want the stitches to bloom more then wet a tea towel and lay it over the knitting and iron. It has more moisture than a steamer but less than soaking so the risk of bleeding is minimal. This method is the one Arne and Carlos uses. Love the stockings!
