Thank you for these videos, I have been dipping in and out of them because Morocco is on the list of places to visit. As a solo traveler myself I had concerns which you experienced. Think I will stay with the ferry to Bilbao and travel south to Ronda and enjoy the sunny south and keep Morocco at arms length for now. When I get to Bilbao it's always sad to be leaving Spain, for you Morocco was not that same place. Where do you travel to next ?
@travelwithevora2 ай бұрын
Yes, Morocco has some sides that you just have to accept :) if that's not for you then there are more beautiful destinations. Spain is absolutely lovely, I travelled up to Bilbao and took the ferry to Ireland. I'm currently in the UK and then I'm heading north - hopefully as far as the North Cape.

@@travelwithevora in general, comfort, wear and tear, livability..... Or perhaps a better question is would you do it again on the same bike or something lighter?
@travelwithevora2 ай бұрын
@@gasman6163 The GS is quite reliable, I have a few problems with the suspension since the end of May, but the bike has a lot to do when fully loaded and has now done 60,000km in 1.5 years :) I think it's less the weight of the bike that's problematic than the luggage. But I can't really think of a solution for that. (The luggage has been adjusted in the meantime - you'll see it here in about 5 episodes) but any less is hardly possible. But yes, lighter is better - that's also what's on my mind for next year. I want to leave Europe and spend more time travelling. So I'll have to think about how to do that over the winter. Whether another motorbike is financially possible - I hardly think so. But I might have to do without camping equipment to reduce the luggage. When it comes to comfort... yes, the GS is wonderful and I'm a big fan of performance - I don't think I'd go below 700cc either.
@gasman61632 ай бұрын
@@travelwithevora thanks for the comprehensive response. With luggage the trade off between hard and soft luggage is difficult. Hard luggage gives more security but soft luggage is lighter and infinitely easier to get repaired anywhere ion the road. That is an impressive mileage for 18 months! Make sure you let us know if you do a UK trip, Wales has great roads. In the meantime take care.
