I've always LOVED the pilot episode of Star Trek,thought it was well done too.The story and acting holds up for me and the entire concept of Star Trek also. NEVER get tired of watching this pilot either.

The Menagerie is my all-time favourite Star Trek two-parter; I often wished they would have reintegrated the deleted portions from The Cage on a DVD or Blu-ray. Illusions not withstanding, you've *got* to question Pike's motivations - there he had his own harem: Vina - like a wild little animal, Number One who, although she seemed to lack emotions, this was largely a pretence... she often had fantasies about him, and Yeoman Colt who had unusually strong female drives....and he wanted to break out of the cage??? Wait...what? WHY??? 😏
