Paul and Kristin are great people for what they've done for the industry. It's an upward battle to get all the younger generations of automotive technicians properly trained.

Great episode gentlemen! Paul Danner is an excellent example of the level technicians should strive to be. I myself am on that road and have learned things from him that help me both on the job and in my personal life. Just started watching yalls podcast the last week or so and already about 15 deep lol love learning and hearing different peoples perspectives, opinions, etc. Hoping to one day be a shop owner and help the people i employ and the customers that come in. For now, im okay with where the Lord has me, being a technician, helping my peers and those in my life. Keep up the great work guys, i appreciate what youre doing

Wow, that was both informative and enlightening . I feel like myself and most people in this industry is going through big changes because of how techs have been treated and looked at.

Solve training and money and you will have a real start to finding a solution. I started in 72 before there was any KZbin, internet and anything other than books. There is literally 50 times more information out there. So much is free. Maybe the next generation is spoiled to “not” earning and learning your way to do what we do. I’ve offered to teach others my diagnostic skills. Having a tough time finding any that are willing.

I was born in '72, but have been in this industry almost 30 years now, and the mindset for growth in this industry has lessened. I enjoy teaching, but you are right, not many takers.

The conversation here was great remembering to teach the younger technicians the right way and how to be better in both business and family. Teaching methods that work in both situations. Great job continuing to listen and learn.

Depending on what you're wanting out of this podcast, take this as a grain of salt. I have watched a couple of your pods when guided to it from a couple of people I wanted to hear were guests. I love podcasts. You're both clearly intelligent and knowledgeable. BUT Each time, I find it incredibly hard to not turn it off as you all talked about at the start. You have a strong tenancy to do 2 things that I really struggle with. 1, You both go off on these continually spiraling tangents and never actually get back to finish any of the thoughts that started you down that train of thought. It means solid, long blocks of monologue that never actually reach a point. It took Kristin to step in at one point to bring you back to earth on one of them when you're the hosts. The first 20min are you two giving each other character rundowns. You've done 138 podcasts! I'd be surprised if you didn't know each other and remember that your guest is with you for and hour when you have 138+ hours for your guests to get to know you. 2, Comes from 1. Let your guest get a word in edge wise. I don't think I'm over exaggerating when I say that Paul and Kristin probably got less than 10 minutes of talking in this episode. Why get a guest on, then not want to hear anything thy have to say? Let me be clear, I'm not hating on you. From the few that I have watched, I've picked up some real gems. That's why I write this. Not to be nasty. Just one persons piece of feedback. Watch it back and make your own mind up.

I'm sorry brother. I'm just not sure if we're capable of or made for that type of content. The show is, in its entirety, something that we do to have fun. It's why we started it. I get it, sometimes we go off and make zero sense. And rant about unrelated topics. But these are conversations we'd likely have if we were sitting around talking and joking. I appreciate your feedback more than you know, and I really am sorry our content didn't meet your expectations. We try to stay a little more focused in our videos, maybe give one of them a try 😀

@ChangingTheIndustry as I said, it's completely dependant on your goals for it. There is certainly no need to apologise! If hanging out, shooting the breeze is what you're going for = killing it. So take it as the grain of salt it was, haha. I've heard some real gold for me personally on the ASOG show. Thank you for that!

@@secretsquirrel9722 Lucas was just being nice. We have guests so that they spur long rambling tangents about random topics. The tangents are the show. It's the entire show. Otherwise it would be boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggg ... ... ... For me... 😁 In all seriousness, thanks for listening and caring enough to comment. I'll tell Lucas to shut up more next time.
