Of course the only way you could get them on the podcast is to take them to the casino, one of the most midwest things to do. And if it's Wisconsin it's got to be Ho-Chunk.🤣🤣

Love the podcast - my Mom knows Lois and your Grandma Sue. They went to school together and Mom was in a social club with your Grandma Sue. You are all so hilarious and you tease each other but in a loving way. Lois was a real trailblazer!☺

Charlie's "those are cool pants you're wearing" to Colleen reminds me of my former boss saying "that's a nice dress" to a flowy pants/gingham top outfit I used to wear. Tickled me- I just used to say "thanks boss"

Wisconsin has Jolly Good, Minnesota has Spring Grove, and Iowa has Jones Soda. I hate artificial fruit flavoring. But Spring Grove and Jones make a AMAZING cherry soda. A cherry float on Saturday afternoon as a kid was pretty great.

Really charming...I could tell Mary'd lost an earring many minutes before it was discussed...Our view of her back end is perhaps not what she would prefer...LOL. But you threw your gum out the car window?! Tacky! But I do love how your grandma moves her shoulder strap behind her!😄

When Charlie says the word 'podcast' my brain assumes he's about to say 'potty.' What I hear: "So my Grandma Sue is on the potty..." Because I'm originally Midwestern this sounds so natural and I have to resist the urge to stand. As if he's going to continue with, "And she wants you to stir the potatoes so they don't stick to the bottom."

Funny that she mentioned a pinto. My dad drove a pinto in the early 1980s. Needless to say it died more than once on I-480. After my dad had to push it thru an intersection in Akron that was the end of that car 😂

Ok women’s jeans don’t have length measurements like men. Mens are like 34 x 32, Womens are short, average and long. That means when a 5’4”, 5’2” and a 5”0’ will purchase the same length (short) jean.
