Love that you have expanded into your own shop. I have been looking for those sock blockers forever and my local LYS just does not keep them in stock. I just finished a pair of lovely shallow socks. It was such a fun pattern that I may just have to make another pair. Thanks for opening up my world to so many designers and different ways to do socks, every pair becomes an adventure.

The very first " fiber fest" I went to was close to me at the Lake of Ozarks. I met Faery there and bought some gorgeous yarn. They are named after chickens. She is the cutest little thing! Very sweet and very knowledgeable on many things. One yarn bought from her was her spun thick and thin. It was so saturated. It was yellow and the deepest plum/eggplant color. There was just enough for a little neck scarf, but I still wear it!

I too am looking forward to Fall. Our nights are cooler which has prompted some trees to begin the color change. The Burning Bushes are starting to turn red. And amazingly, we still have Hummingbirds hanging around. Now that SSC is done, I am starting to work on a sweater again that I started last year. Enjoyed the podcast!

This info on alternate knitting skeins Couldn’t have been at a better time. My friend and I are going to do a sweater MAL together and this alternate way of changing the yarn is going to come in handy. I am so glad that I tuned into this episode and watched the link below by Professor Purl. I will be sharing this with my knitting friends. I learn something new from almost every episode. Later I will be doing a Cowl and will use this method too.

I’m doing the Stephen west mystery shawl to. I’m finishing up the last of his slipstravaganza now. (I started it very late and hope to have it done this week. I’m also making the autumn crush socks in September’s yarnable. I haven’t knit cables in a long time and thought it was the perfect pattern to get back into them.

It was so hot both days! I took my grandsons on Sunday. My daughter, the boys' mother, got the same Black Cat Fiber skein. BCF is one of her fave dyers. While she was looking, I took the boys to see a puppet show. We also got ice cream and had to run from the bees. One of the boys kept running in circles to avoid the yellowjackets. They also wanted a skein of yarn, so they each got a mini skein in their favorite colors from Created 4 You by Laura. She has the most beautiful colorway that is a blend of Teddy Bear, Tobacco, and Golden Pecan that looks amazing for heels, toes, and cuffs.

Love all the colors of yarn. I have 2 different socks to finish one from the start and the other about to the toe. I have a sweater started. I am quilting a baby quilt. I have to make a shopping cart cover which has to be done by the 16th of October. Then got another sweater pattern and should have the yarn today. Then in November I might be starting watching a 4 month old.

I have a burning question that I have had for a while but didn’t know who to ask. You are the perfect person to clue me in! I am a new-ish sock knitter, having taken the dive 2-3 years ago. I always knit vanilla socks, fingering weight, on dpn, size one needles. Here’s the question: do you have to buy shoes a size bigger to wear your hand knit socks? Or is it just me? I don’t know how to knit a sock to fit in my normal shoes 👟. Help!!! 🧶 ☺️ Thanks for all your inspiration and your constant willingness to share your knowledge! 🌻

I am working on Autumn Crush socks too and couldn't find my small cable needle either. I ended up using a double-pointed needle in same size as my circular needles and it worked great!!
