Sarah, it was such a treat to meet you live and in person at Rhinebeck on Sunday! (And to pick up some beautiful yarn from Tidal Yarns!) Your podcast has been an inspiration for both my fiber journey and my personal life and I can’t thank you enough for sharing your knowledge, stories, creativity, love of nature, and joy of life with us ❤

Thank you for sharing your beautiful, soulful conversation with Corinne. It was lovely to "join" you through your video and share in the kinship and love of wool. Looking forward to seeing the beautiful colours you picked out for your Agnes sweater (I might have gone ahead and purchased the Wiola e-book in anticipation of a Wiola-along)

hehe...that book has a lot to choose from doesn't it?

Sarah, thanks for articulating those connections we have through textile work, “travel through knitting”, and the sensory experiences and connections to people and place we have that are associated with it. I find my work the same, especially when knitting and working with fleece, that it brings me back to close connection with the earth, and nature, places, even the smells of the fleece, and the finished wool yarns, and also to my connection to my own heritage and family members who also were knitters, sewists, back in a time when people were much more dependent on having these skills to make the things they needed in their daily lives. It is so gratifying, and much of the reason I create, in addition to the complete escapism and relaxation to be found in our artistic pursuits! Lovely episode!

It does bring that close connection to the earth doesn't it. I knew when Corinne started the conversation this was the perfect interview to share with the vlog audience cause everyone would be able to relate ;)

I enjoyed this so much. It was lovely seeing Corinne. I wish the feeling of meeting with like minded people, the excitement and the soulful connection, could be bottled so that we could dip in and have a little taste of it when we are not together and need that connection.
@FiberTrek2 ай бұрын
Oh yes, bottling up that connection for those solo days would be ideal. Nice to see you here Kate :)

Dear Sarah, I'm so thankful for the conversation shared between you and Corinne. It was quite insightful and very inspiring. I've been lusting after sheepy wool lately, especially now that the weather has cooled down & hope to give some new yarns a try. Lopi has been on my wish list for many years.. maybe now is the time I give it a try. Thank you to your contribution to our wonderful knitting community. Sending a ton of love! 💗💗💗- River

River, I'm glad you found the conversation inspiring. We couldn't help ourselves, wool just brings it out in us doesn't it? I hope you give Lopi a try, I think the heathery, textural elements will help fill that woolly heart. I really appreciate your thoughtful, kind comment.

The Northern Lights are on my bucket list. I have been to Alaska four times, three in the winter. Have been to Nome and above the Arctic Circle. I have been to the Yukon (in the winter) on the Alcan Highway and have NEVER seen them. I saw a damped down version here in south central Illinois, but never a full blown Aurora Borealis. So I’m a bit envious. I love Corinne and attribute my revived interest in knitting to her. Her yarns are so yummy. Have a great one!

Hi Sarah, I enjoyed meeting you at The Woolly Thistle. I loved the footage of the northern lights. It is a long time wish of mine to see the northern lights. You always put an amazing show together and thank you for taking the time to share and inspire. Also an update on the building of my new home in New Hampshire. My first night that we will be able to sleep in our new home will be Oct. 31. It's been a long haul. MaryAnn

Hi Sarah…I really enjoyed seeing your visit with Corrine and hearing about your woolly weekend. I think I’ll make a trip to the Woolly Thistle…it’s not that far from us here in mid coast Maine and I’m sure I could easily convince some friends to ride along. If you do a knit along for the Agnes sweater, I’ll probably join in. It will be my first knit-along
