Not only is Addis Ababa the diplomatic capital of Africa, it is also one of the fastest growing cities in the world. From market availability to a hip and thriving metropolitan, Addis Ababa has much to offer for any investor rather local or international. As this safe and vibrant city is in full speed transformation, Antoine Lindley takes an insightful look at doing business in Addis Ababa.

I also want to see beautification efforts in Addis Ababa because as the symbolic capital of Africa it is extremely important that we present a beautiful image to the whole world when foreigners come to visit.

Ethiopia was far and away the most developed country, but we are still classified as a developing nation by European & North American standards. Our economy is the most diversified. Most Ethiopian province rely on agricluture/farming , while exporting both agricultural goods and being a major player in coffee , flowers, etc. Ethiopia is now constantly upgrading and getting the lasest technology in some area like Factories, Hotels, Airports, Transportation of train and roads etc.. we are a mix of 1st and 3rd World country. We all hoping and praying In Ethiopia all 13 provinces include Gonder, Tigray, Gojam, Welo, Wellega, Shewa, Ilubabor, Kiffa, Arusi, Gamo Gofa, Sidamo, Bale, and Harerge states will be Very advanced in certain areas to create networks of mobile health clinics and Hospitals that transport diagnostics and other technologies to remote places, but still behind in others. Even though the global economy was not good, Ethiopia is still considered a safe place to invest. Thumbs up for Ethiopian !!!!!! Way to go Antoine

Kudos on this momentous progress. I still think we have some of the brightest minds in the continent. Although its worth noting that the detriments of "progress" have become even more conspicuous in the streets of Addis. The poor of Ethiopia have become easily negligible, overshadowed by the facade of economic growth. It is just sad seeing children sleeping on the corner streets. The country seems ornamented by the decors of life, seemingly living up to a foreign ideal of progress, at the expense of love, empathy, selflessness, which are all tenets God has conferred on Ethiopia. Of the 143 million orphans worldwide, five million live in Ethiopia, making it the highest in any other country in the world... something to think about.

As much as I like the progress made in Addis, i think the administration should take precaution and not allow heavily polluting industries permeate as it will affect the health of its inhabitants. Efforts have to be made to learn from cities like Bejing, where the smog and pollution is unbearable. More parks and recreation areas as well as efforts to use the hot spring under the crust should be priorities.

See you Addis in 6month. Cant waittttt. Ohhh man am just gonna laugh in 20 years when am sitting in 30th floor of the head quarter building in one of ethios hybrid corporations that will conquer the African market; and think off all the poor haters that will be cleaning toilets in the west and regret all their stupid actions on the Ethiopian polity/people by saying stupid facts based on hearsay references that tried to destabilize my wonderful Ethiopia that kept rising, while this hate mongers kept on crying. Peace and Love. Ethio/Africa Love. Peace!!!

Great video. Well done! I want to comment on the fact that so much of the development is concentrated in Addis . What's happening in other cities like Mekele and Harar and Dire Dawa and Bahir Dar to name a few. Development needs to take place there also so as to not overburdened the capital city. This also makes the other cities more involved in the progress of the country as a whole. I hope to see development take place there also.
