Nice contrast between this video and the previous one. Previous one being more about hardships, this one being more idyllic. Kudos to whoever picked the music near the end of the video. It enhances that pastoral feeling without being too loud as to not mask your narration. What a milestone! Looking forward to the next one.

I believe the damselflies that you saw were Boreal Bluets or Northern Bluets. The white fuzzy flowers are bistort. The fireworks flower is Porter Lovage Osha. The pink/purple flowers with the little hats are Elephant Heads. Love these videos. Congrats for halfway and into Wyoming. Wyoming will not disappoint either.

LOL !! I love you, Dixie! You are the only girl I know who will get up close and personal with a snake to take a video, and then squeal with fright when it decides to move. Totally too cute. But, yeah ... Keep on filming the critters and flowers. They make the trail come alive. :-) May I suggest that you find some permethrin to treat your clothes, and a head net against the mosquitoes. The farther north you go, the worse they will get. Don't feed them, they will follow you. LOL.

Dixie you have inspired me to hike the AT. It’s something that’s been in the back of my mind for years. I was a stay at home mama for 23 years, I got divorced, and then I went back to school for nursing. My kids are grown, and now it’s my turn. I’ve recently lost a best friend and a brother. I see people’s lives forever altered at work everyday. It’s time to make this dream a reality. I love your style as I am a southern girl myself. Keep following your dreams. AT 2020

Think you got through this section about three days later. But how cool to see the same scenery through a different perspective.
