I just finished the Highline Trail on Tuesday, honestly one of the most beautiful places i've ever been, and the video summed up the first part perfectly. It's so cool to get above the treeline for the first time up there, and the terrain keeps getting better and better the more you hike! Keep up the good work!

Great job on the video. When I saw you at the Highline Trail premier in Salt Lake City last winter I didn't know you were planning to also hike the trail. Pretty awesome that you decided to do it. I did not see anywhere in the title or description that mentioned the dates of your hike. Based on the publishing of this video it appears that you did the hike about the same time I did. My wife and I hiked the trail July 19-25. I hope you enjoyed the trail as much as we did. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of this series. Great job on your part 1. Take care and be safe out there. maybe I'll see you in Utah or on another trail again someday. 👍😀

As a thirty five year Uinta hiker, I can certainly testify to the "afternoon thunderstorms"... I can also add that the high and low likelihood of those summer storms rotates on a 10 to 14 day schedule. So if you can know when the last crazy deluge peaked, you can plan that 5 to 7 days later will be the likely low point in that cycle...

So nice to see you in my back yard. The Uintas are pretty special around here. The sign has definitely gone missing at the McKee Draw trail head. I have seen moose in that lower Reader lake every time I have been through there. One time we got to see twin calfs up really close as mom was way down at the other end of the lake. It was pretty amazing. Looking forward to part 2!

Saw on your instagram that you were off to hike the CO trail and was excited for you to start your next journey, but was sad because that meant no Darwin videos for a while. BUT! then there was the Part 1 video posted and I was excited again! until the end when it said part 2 in September and then I was sad again. Rollercoaster of emotions bro, I'm tellin' ya. But I am overall so happy that you are getting to go out and do some hikes! Can't wait for Part 2!

Nice to see your footage of the Uintas. We did a backpack trip there some years ago but our camera malfunctioned - so I have no photos or videos of the trip. When I got home I looked up the problem with the camera. The advice I got was literally to give it a few knocks. Hell, if I knew all it needed was a good beating I could have done that. Ah well. Live and learn. Thanks for doing such a great job of filming!
