Buying stocks and manufacturing (aka, making stuff) are linked though in developed economies. Most stock issuing companies manufacture something. selling stocks is how they fund their company. If the secondary market for Tesla or Toyota goes down, the company collapses too. So finance, in terms of buying and selling stocks are linked.

Okay, but CFA is pegged to Euro...so why are some CFA countries poorer and not doing better than us? Appreciation or depreciation is neither good or bad. Appreciation hurts exports. Depreciation hurts imports.
