Only 12 comments show folks are sleeping on this good information. This is what needs to be taught in schools. I am so glad I found this channel.

Such a beautiful conversation…. I’ve read “the Memo” and that book transformed my life and mindset around capitalism. I then attended his annual forum to see if he’s real 😅…. Beyond real… John Hope Bryant’s work is truly generational and sustainable…. Rooted in Self Love and Self Esteem. Thank you for this conversation, “We’ve disconnected education from aspiration.” We must make it SExY again. I’m with Mrs Bankshi write “a memo” for women.

I use to wonder why guys like John Hope Bryant never do public interviews or debates with Dr. Claude Anderson and now I know. Although I still learn from both men.

Great information.... my only point against is him stating that Black American collective has undiagnosed depression and then says that Racism can't be the justification to some of the oppression towards us by White Americans because of racism.

Mr. Franklin should run for President. Sure, he would get a lot of the same obstructionist opposition Obama did, but I believe he would be able - and cognizant of the need to- communicate to poor whites how they have been duped to vote against their own interests. He has just enough of the cockiness that appeals to the non-racist faction of the Trumpers, and he makes it plain, he's a good teacher.

I love John, but there is one fact he gets wrong in his statement that Mississippi has the highest poverty rate. #Debunked The highest poverty rate is not Mississippi, but it is California. www.politifact.com/california/statements/2017/jan/20/chad-mayes/true-california-has-nations-highest-poverty-rate-w/
