It's a roller coaster they say... meanwhile Jim's giggling like a villain as he metaphorically ties us readers to the tracks. And Marsters is over there like 'if I have my voice break there, that'll make the pain more real...' and then the listeners are sitting over there balling our eyes out and trying to explain to everyone around us that we're fine, we're listening to a book and a character's going through some stuff. I'm going to need therapy when the series wraps up.

I thought it was a bit funny to have Marsters and Jim at the same time, considering Jim narrated this one. However, as someone who reads them in Marsters voice now, and think he genuinely made the books better via his acting, it does make sense. Marsters added an entire dimension to those words, that Jim literally couldn’t. Especially since Marsters is a fan like us. Better, Jim is inspired directly by his work on Buffy, and respects him. To contrast Jim’s performance will be a treat.

I'd say it's better than anything Jordan ever wrote. Most of Jordans work is meandering and filled with too many often annoying characters. With Dresden it is like getting into a race car.
