Hello Gentlemen, Thank you again for your efforts in giving us another edition of Hot Air. I really enjoyed your chat, your opinions, and what you really genuinely think about airgun matters. Thank you very much also for profiling those beautiful RAW/Theoben pcp air rifles. Growing up and in my young life, I was never allowed around air rifles. I used to secretly look at my dad's Airgun World before he arrived home from work, replacing his copy exactly as I found it. I loved reading about Dave Theobald and Ben Taylor. How they brought in Theoben pcp air rifles with cocking levers and magazines and later pioneered gas ram air rifles. I just thought how fantastic these two ordinary British gentlemen were making the most fantastic British air rifles. What a story. At the other end of the scale, I was saddened when I heard they weren't operating any more in 2004. Fast forward a few years, and here they come again! It's so nice to hear you speak well of them. I'd read reports that their new range wasn't as expected. However, listening to you guys is so heartening. If anyone is fancying a brand new RAW air rifle, I think there's a good reason to their expense. I think they go through much more testing and quality control than what would be deemed as normal and that will come at a cost. I think you gentlemen could have persuaded those sat on the fence to follow their dream and passion, and I don't think they'll be disappointed, one little bit. Yes, it's a lot of money, but what a beautiful piece of kit to own! Thank you again, gentlemen, and well done! Great show!!

Great show guys as usual I must agree with you about the rise wood stock really nice I made a walnut stock for a airsporter gun I had knocking around that had a beach stock that had been well battered and as I’ve never tried to make a stock befor I copied the beach stock it took me an age to make and fit so I can only imagine how long that took to make and out of rosewood as well just mind blowing.
@ianwoods13847 ай бұрын
Hello Sir, It's very difficult to come by Rosewood now. I think it's classed as an endangered species, and it doesn't grow fast enough to be plentiful. I was looking for a piece of Rosewood, though I changed my mind and chose Wenge Wood. This wood is sourced from the region of Equitorial New Giunea and The Congo. I'm just beginning to make a laminated gunstock, laminated, using Wenge Wood and Ash, using hand tools. I'm finding the Wenge Wood to be very hard and soon bluntens tools. Best wishes, Ian

Are the hot air guns going to be just that hot air that is kept in a posh wood and glass cupboard, or will they be something you will be proud of taking out of your gun bag and using. If it is the latter of which I hope so, then that will give you the answer about how you present the gun to the owner. 🎉
