I had the same happen to me. Myself and my children were away for 2 weeks and came back and the house was destroyed! They stole everything, down to diapers, socks and tablecloths and broke everything! They shit on the couch, just made it inhabitable. They broke im another house down the street and i found what was left of our belongings. We were left homeless as a result (there's more to it/danger) so myself and my 6 children had to start over. We are still looking for a home. We lost a lot, but most of all, we lost our security, our sanctuary, and lots of items like pictures, trophies and other irreplaceable items. Some people are so selfish.. i am working on my certification to start a business such as yours and im hoping to help families in this situation, as well as families of the deceased, to regain some kind of peace in their homes after occurrences like this. Great job you guys!!

@@morganmiller6373 thank you Morgan. ☺️❤️ I'm sorry it happened too. I just think there must be a reason for this happening. I think we needed to lose everything in order to make the change we needed which was moving from CA, in a dangerous area with no family and limited jobs etc... So we can thrive in a more peaceful area that we can make our forever home. We have gotten on a plane and crossed the country to be near the one family member we have, and we are starting from scratch. I'm trying my best to look at it as an adventure so it won't be so terrifying. But having 6 little ones depending on me to get us back on track is both my motivation and my biggest fear... But i thank you for listening ☺️

We are not all given the same opportunities in this messed up country. That "American Dream" crap is just that CRAP! Heather Day be fair, Heather, regardless of the opportunities you did or didn’t have, you don’t destroy a house you’re living in, that you don’t own. Most people take care of their environment. I think we’re talking about a few very unhappy individuals who for their own reasons don’t respect their surroundings. Yes, America sounds like a ghastly place to live, and I hope this time around its citizens can elect a better example.

I'm curious about how the squatters got into that particular house and were able to stay long enough to do so much damage. I've been a house-sitter for a number of different people in their homes and I would like to suggest that if you go away for more than overnight don't leave your house or apartment unattended. It at all possible have someone stay there while you're gone or at least check the house regularly and frequently and I would suggest at least once per day. Have the mail and newspaper discontinued or get someone to pick them up. My own thought is that it's best to just have someone you trust to stay there. I heard about one man who got into people's homes while they were away and because of a weird law in his state he could say that the houses were abandoned and claim them for his own. If you can afford security cameras and alarms they would be great.
