@7:30 YUP! had a 225 slant six blew a rod clean out the block got a used rod from the junkyard and a plate to cover the hole in the block JB to the rescue drove the wheels off that car

Could attach a few of those extra magnets to the bottom of your vice, then put a piece of steel on your work table/bench to keep the vice from sliding around like @ 8:40. That way, the vice isn't fastened down permanently and you can still move it around as needed.

I've also seen the vice mounted to a brake rotor, doing both would work well.

Your videos on this efi system is awesome I hate electrical so this is helping me understand this stuff a lot better, great videos On my 1984 toyota supra the spring perch inside my side mirror (electric) broke off, instead of buying a whole new mirror assembly we used JB weld, this was back in 2002, it's still holding strong to this day, love JB weld

I very much enjoy the do it yourself portion and the amount of effort put in these videos. Regarding the scope, I used those some time ago and except their weight and size, they work very well. I must say that I was shocked to see that the engine volume to be in cc.

1) snip the pointy bits off of push pins, leaving just the plastic bit 2) glue them to the leftover neodymium magnets 3) best fridge magnets you'll ever have in your life

I have 10 or so hard disk magnets - whenever a drive fails, we're supposed to destroy them. The ones that can't/won't DBAN, my boss gives to me to destroy, and I salvage the magnets. They're bloody strong!

7:36 Already clicked on the like button, but JB Weld saved my ass. Drove a Dodge Shadow 2.2L for years that had the thermostat housing on the head partly made of JB Weld thanks to an electrolytically welded in broken bolt. Only way it would come out was grinding the corner of the housing down to remove half the remaining bolt laterally, and I still had to use a hammer and punch to knock the remnant off the remaining half-threads... new bolt, some oil, a cardboard and duct tape dam, some JB, curing time, and dress it nice with a file. Lasted until I sold it several years later, and that's saying something for a rallycross car.

JB Weld is in my carry pack when I ride dirt bikes. Fixed a hole in my water pump housing in a pinch. Still holding strong.

Quiksteel is another awesome epoxy putty, I did lots of surface prep and it actually sealed a sport bike engine with a crack in the bottom of the crankcase! Held oil in even with it running

My Dad was a wizard with JB Weld. He used it to save me $600 by fixing a messed up distributor rotor in a Nissan Sentra. A machine plug blew out of the carburetor on my '67 Beetle. JB Weld to the rescue!

Oh my goodness! I dreamt of fuel injecting my mower years ago.... No way! Love seeing you do it though. Will be fascinating to see if it gives you a power boost without a turbo. My prediction, not much at all, but fuel consumption may improve. Love this series.

Floating vise works pretty good as long as you don't get too repetitive/boring with it. I believe that's when it gets dangerous, doing it for too long at a time.

On the sensor, if it was on for the whole diameter of the flywheel (except the magnet) you could have just selected rising edge instead of falling edge.

Please watch the video again. Starting at 4:20. The problem is the sensor is being triggered twice. Once before the magnet and once after the magnet. You cannot have two pulses or two triggers right next to each other on the same revolution.

You could buy a Sensor with NC Output and use the old Pickup

The problem was the sensor was being triggered twice per revolution. An NC wouldn't help.

Your vice clamp needs a clamp to hold it down. Then make sure to get a bigger clamp to hold that clamp in place. Then a bigger one to hold that.... Do the russian doll folks make clamps?
