Freida McFadden books are great. I’m addicted. My kids have been out of school all week cause of the snow and ice. They also missed a week before Christmas break due to the tornado that came through Tennessee last month. Hopefully they won’t have the year extended too much this spring. Such a nice surprise when I woke up this morning...great way to start the day! The January Yarnable worked up so pretty. Haven't even caked mine yet. We have only had a limited amount of snow so far. It's totally frozen now with the ridiculously cold 🌡 we're having. Might get a bit more later today. Only have 1 sock on the needles right now. I'm wanting to make a Cosiest Memories blanket, but struggling to find the right needle size that looks right for my tension.

Such a lovely way to end the week visiting with you this morning. Your Musselburgh looks so good on you-I hope the one I plan to knit this year comes out as nice. Your finished objects always inspire me to get some stuff off the needles. I have 3 big projects, 2 of which that are over half done, that I really REALLY want to finish. I think I'll be able to breathe easier once the needles start emptying. I pick up whichever one strikes my mood that night and knit away. I too like working socks the way you worked Wyatt's. It seems they go faster that way. I did my grandsons' socks that way at Christmas and I was SO glad when crunch time came the week before Christmas that I did. I had knit both to the start of the foot and it was SUCH a relief to know that I didn't have to start that second sock from the beginning...both were at the same point waiting for me. Whew! I do want to start a pair of socks on 9" circulars sometime-just got a second one so I can have 2 going at the same time. I saw on IG that you got some snow that you were wishing for-I'd be happy to send you ours!!! :)

We like mountain Men. You can get that on the history channel. Just finished the bean& Olive grown up. Now I have to sew the ends in and block it. I started it 2022. Then I have some yarn from lion brand. We got snow Tuesday then yesterday morning. Then it started snowing this morning. It is suppose to snow till Sunday morning.

I do all my socks by splitting the yarn and do two at once. Otherwise I would never do the other sock. I knit one cuff than go knit the other cuff. ❤

Washcloths are great Operation Christmas Child box filler if y'all participate in that. Otherwise, you could see if there is a shelter or something similar that could use hygiene products. You could include some bar soap and a washcloth together.

I take my dishcloths and give them to the staff at my doctors office and boy were those nurses and receptionists excited! They want to know when they are going to get more 😆. Keep knitting them! You make socks for your waitresses so you could give them some dishcloths too. My pastors wife loves them too.

Hello, sorry for the question but I figured since you are the sock queen I would ask lol. I tried to do a pop of color on my cuff like I've seen you do, only to find that the cuffs aren't the same number count. My question, have you ever pulled out a cuff on a top down sock and re done it?

I’m fairly new to knitting podcasts BUT: I wonder why I don’t see any topics relating to darning socks? I am new to knitting socks and I’m obsessed with striped socks, which I love to wear as slippers, basically. But they wear out and that makes me sad - even more sad when I’m the one who knit the socks, lol. I hate darning, but now that I’m knitting my own socks, I think I’ll have to get myself into it because there is so much work and love that goes into a pair of socks. Do you have any advice / guidance / inspiration to offer with respect to darning socks? I find it’s a tedious and difficult task. Need help!

I can’t speak for other channels.. but I don’t really do “topics” here. This is just my space to share what I am currently working on. I took a class years ago on darning socks but I have never actually done it. If I had I would have talked about it. But, none of our socks have ever gotten holes in them. And we have so many because I basically only knit socks that if they did, in all honesty.. I wouldn’t darn them. I would just throw them away. You can try searching on KZbin for info on darning socks. I would imagine that there are videos out there that dive into.
