Hi Ken. You are correct the "E" step can be set in the menu so it will retain that setting. I agree 100% regarding the one pedal driving and hope Nissan does an update on this. Our Engage model range has increased to 413 km per charge and being retired we charge it about once per month. It is nice to have a wiper on the back. I was hoping it would have some form of vehicle to load system so you could power up things in case of power outages but it is not the case. Over all ,being our first EV, we are very impressed with it.Thx Ken.

@@Euzkitze Hello, Our Ariya has the 63 kw battery.We drive around town usually , so 50 -60 k/hr stop and go with the traffic lights.

I believe the reason the car does not have one pedal driving is to combat issues like brake seizing which is a good idea. You also mentioned about using propilot 2. In Canada we got the shaft on that for some reason and only have propilot. This is indicated by the single antenna and the lack of the face tracker that should be on the steering wheel.

As for 1-pedal, not sure about brake seizing as there are now millions of Teslas on the road and I've not heard about this at all, so seems like a lame excuse Nissan maybe making on it. as a real world test perhaps you could have remained om the slower charger and assumed the others were occupied. which is what we face on a daily basis with public charging. appreciate that you wanted to test the capability of the car for the purposes of the film.

Thanks for watching. I wanted to show the capabilities of the vehicle itself. Public DC Fast Charging infrastructure availability and reliability is still a hit and miss, it really depends on where you are. I know many that have had zero issues with many of the providers.

As an Ariya e-force owner, I 100% agree with Kenneth, except that it has automatic lane change and it can even automatically take exits (when navigation is used) (US model with ProPilot Plus).

When you are pointing to the charging connector you refer to top part as Class 1 and bottom as Class 2. In reality the top one is AC Class 1 (15A @ 120V) and Class 2 (32A @ 240V, 6.4 kW/h) combined and the bottom is Level 3 DC fast charging up to 140kW. 😉

Nice to see that Nissan car company has a new number two models and I like it a lot more than Nissan leaf and have more room in the back seat and sunroof is open up to see beautiful sunny day and very quiet ride and very comfortable and fast changing is pretty good and anyway buddy great show!!

I really think they missed the mark on the pricing. Its way too high. The market is filling up and there are more in this price range with better specs. It feels like they went for the bare minimum of whats the average right now.

Nice to see Nissan producing another EV. Prices in the UK are really high around £50k for a reasonable spec or over £500 a month to rent. At that sort of money I think potential buyers would gravitate towards the Tesla Model Y due to the fantastic charging infrastructure. The ability to charge at Tesla or other energy suppliers makes Tesla cars the go-to, Sales and Marketing Companies have trained us over the years to imagine driving along the wide open roads (whereas usually the cars used for shopping, work and the kids run). Until they get the pricing right and the range up to around 500 miles or more charging hubs installed selling most brands of electric car will be a bit of a struggle. Making an EV is one thing, back up and support including the ability to charge is a completely different can of worms In order to make chicken soup you first need a chicken

@stevenbarrett7648 Depending on where you are, there is good reliable charging so I disagree with your statement. For sure home charging is gold, however I've taken road trips in non-Tesla BEVs before and had no issues as well. The infrastructure statement, or in your case lack of, is not black and white but very grey. That day I was charging the Nissan, a guy with an ID 4 from the U.S. came in and we talked about charging. He and his family were on a road trip from Maryland seeing the sites in the North East and they were visiting Toronto and Niagara Falls Canada. He told me that stop, where I was, was the first time he had any issues in DC Fast Charging on the multi-week road trip/vacation. I was surprised, and he told me all the other Electrify America stations and others he has used, worked fine. So it is not all bad, all over the place and this is the kind of mindset and opinion we need not have, if we are to get people to look at BEVs. It certainly is something to look at and knowing all the facts, is what is needed. Yes I know some folks that have had some bad outings with public charging too, however the majority have good experiences and continue to drive their BEVs around our countries and other areas worldwide.

@@EVRevolution Nope here in the UK its still hit and miss, got quite good 2014 to 2018 with ecotricity but they fell down on the job and that really was that until Podpoint the Gridserve got going. meanwhile Tesla arrived and put chargers in everywhere….only for Tesla’s though. It is getting better but needs to be a whole lot better than it currently is.

Well again, I would argue at can't be all bad in the UK as I have many friends there with BEVs that have for the majority of time, good DCFC outcomes. Again, I don't think as a whole, it is that black and white.

I have ordered an ariya engage 87 kWh and I would have loved to have a frunk instead of that ridiculous open space on the floor between driver and passenger. Also possibly dangerous regarding stuff rolling in under the pedals.

Hi there, thanks for watching and appreciate the question. I would say no. I wanted the most range I could afford as well as the Supercharging network access and ease of use. Those were my main drivers when looking to replace my Leaf in 2020. For my real job, which is not KZbin or anything to do with the auto industry, I need to drive to most of South and Central Ontario areas, so longer range and easier Fast Charging is important to me and as such I went with the Model 3.

Thanks for watching. I would not say the M3 is trash, but its ride is certainly not one consistent with the class of vehicle the M3 is going after, the mid-sized luxury market. I changed out my suspension in my 2020 Model 3 because of the harsh ride. However, the new refreshed 2024 Model 3 is supposed to be much much better so I think Tesla has "fixed" this feature.
