My friends thought I was crazy to try and knit a sock at 73 but here I am 😂. Just got through the heel and gusset but I can no longer stand the yarn I was using. It was rough and I decided I would never wear them. I bought new yarn and am starting over. Woo hoo

I love watching your pot cast. Thank you for your inspiration in learning to knit socks. I made some for my granddaughters for Christmas and they loved them. I am now hooked on making socks. I recently made a pair for my hubby and he was so excited and tried one on and I was thrilled how it looked made me so happy I almost cried. Thank you! Thank you! Honey Bunny🧶🧶🧶

After the last few years of swearing I'd never knit a temperature blanket, I decided in December to knit one! Mainly because I liked yours last year and I realized my yarnable yarn was piling up. So I copied you with the dividing eyelet rows between months and am using 21 yarnable skeins. So far it's pretty colorful and I am not behind at all, mainly because I knit the previous day's temperature while I drink my first cup of coffee every morning. Thanks for sharing your making with us as always-this is my favorite podcast!

For your Yarnable yarns, you should look at the Copacetic blanket pattern! I did one with a 9 month yarn club ( I also did fingering held double ) and it is such a huge squishy cozy blanket 😍

So happy that you mentioned Summer Sock Camp today! I love to take part every year and know that I’m not alone with my sock knitting habit! Glad Austin is getting less pain now after his teeth extraction and they are settling down. I actually sorted out a bag of wool scraps yesterday to think about starting another scrap blanket. Can’t decide which one yet but I might try some crochet again!

Gosh it's hard to believe Summer Sock Camp is right around the corner. Time sure does fly! I always thought of having a puppy like having a toddler...if they're quiet and you can't lay eyes on them? Uh oh, that means trouble. My daughter's dog is almost 6 and to this day that theory applies. He even acts up when she gets on the phone-just like she did when she was little! All your projects are so inspiring as are your plans for future knits. I need to get myself organized!!!

Wow! I am so amazed and inspired by your admirable ability to create such beautiful things in such a short amount of time, including the work involved to produce and edit your video content in addition to meeting the everyday needs of your family and fur babies! You are so blessed, and your family is so very blessed to have you! Those socks are so pretty, and your work always looks perfectly flawless! I love that scrappy sock, which doesn't really read as "scrappy" to me, at least, not in the way that your scrappy blanket does, as in comparison, they look much more upscale in their design, somehow. I love the pattern and color of the sweater that you are knitting, too! It reminds me of my first project after learning to knit beyond a few practice swatch samplers, but the desire for a cabled buttoned cardigan sweater with a shawl collar for men was what inspired me to learn to knit, in the first place, so, I went with it. I printed off a pattern and referred to a few KZbin videos when I needed demonstrations, and weirdly, had less trouble knitting those cables than I did with learning to knit vanilla socks! 🤷‍♂ I am pretty sure that I would have had even better success with the socks, had your channel been around back then, because you deliver very clear, concise instructions and examples. I just love your taste🥰, which makes available inspiring options for my crafting, but it could, potentially, be a double edged sword for me, as a danger to my wallet, 🤑😜especially if the items are new to me, and if I was given to the habit of overindulgence, as you generously provide links, when possible, to everything you use. I have never tried dk knit socks, but you have inspired me to try them. Thank you for being there! 🧶🤗

Hi Kay, I adore you. Have you ever knitted socks with the Addi flex flips ? I bought a set and want to see if it can be done. Your a sock machine girl, way to go.

Yep I have. I have a tutorial here on my KZbin for knitting a sock from start to finish on hiya hiya flyers, which is the same concept. Just made by a different company.

Hi there Kay…I absolutely love your podcast and have been watching you for years now. Believe it or not, I’ve never knit a pair of socks. I’ve watched all your videos. So, my question is, I’m a left handed knitter and wanted to know if I should be doing something different doing the magic loop method? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Is there a podcast that shows left handed sock knitting? Have a great weekend.

So sorry, I have no experience with “left handed knitting” 🙂

Have you ever tried the clasped weft join for scrappy socks (think there is a KZbin video for it). I also wanted to ask you if you know how many pairs of socks have you knitted since you started knitting socks. I’ve lost count of mine as I have given so many away. It still surprises me when, at family gatherings, I see someone walking around in their socks which I have completely forgotten about, but then I always recognise the yarn! It does please me to see them being worn. 😅

Nope I haven’t tried that, I don’t really have any issue and prefer just weaving them in the regular old way. Nope I don’t have any idea how many I’ve knit in total. I didn’t always track it. 🙂

Can I ask a question 😊 will you or have you done a video on how to become a successful and confident sock knitter 🤔 I have some of your patterns but I do not feel confident in knitting the socks. I complete the leg as I find that part easy but I just need some coaching to just keep me going until I finish 😊

I’ve been wanting to try DK weight socks! I can’t ever find vegan options for DK weight so I may just have to get some wool yarn. When you do DK weight socks do you still only use one skein?

We watched the first episode of Fallout last night, its Adrians favorite video game so I obliged him in watching it. Not too bad, but I have lots of questions since I know nothing about the game 🤣🤣
