Also what I like to do when I feel like I want to shop for either cross stitch or yarn, I go onto the site, fill my cart, then exit or delete the cart. I never hit the order now or buy now. Just makes me feel better anyway have a great week!

The Marled Magic shawl is a fun scrap yarn knit. The little brioche section in it is the easiest brioche stitch. Easier than 2 colour brioche. You'll work up the shawl quickly.

Lisa, I've been wanting to ask this question of knitter who holds fingering double for DK: does the speckled yarn change considerably from what it looks like held alone? Is it still recognizable? Thanks for posting on Mondays -- great way to start my week and 2024!

I think the speckles pop more when 2 strands are held together.

I am interested in how you do the heel when you say you cut the yarn and pull from the inside. I always do heel flap/gusset and self striping yarn.

I knit from the outside of the cake. When I get to the heel flap, I start knitting from the inside of the cake. After my heel flap and turn I go back to knitting with the outside of the cake. I do this so it doesn’t break up the striping sequence. I hope this helps! ❤️
