All those championship seasons were great but that '99 season will always be the most special to me. Nothing is like the first.

Man this is my childhood and adulthood right here lol Go Spurs Go. We will be alright! one day we'll be back on top but the main thing is the culture! Man the core was tight for those dynasty years and the support was perfect for it. Having one of the greatest players ever to play the game helped too 😁

1999 - Started 6-8, and one loss away to coach Pop's firing (Doc Rivers reportedly waiting) and David Robinson's trade rumors. Utah was the favorite. San Antonio caught up with them with 31-5 finish and identical 37-13 record (Spurs holds the tiebreaker; head-to-head matchup). - Mario Elie and Steve Kerr's presence were invaluable. Elie not just provided backcourt presence, but also toughness and edge on how to win it all. Kerr knows how to win too, finishing with four (4) straight Titles tracing back with Chicago. - Newly appointed Lakers coach Phil Jackson called it as "asterisk". Shaq dismissed them as WNBA team (he and the Lakers were swept at West Semis; final game at Great Western Forum). 2003 - Dallas and Sacramento were the favorites. San Antonio was under the radar and overlooked because of youth movement in the backcourt. First-ever "Rodeo road trip" developed the "bunker mentality" and eventually became the barometer on how to finish the season entering the Playoffs. - San Antonio caught up with Dallas and both finished 60-22, sharing the league's best record (Spurs having the tiebreaker; better record against West teams). - Dethroned the Lakers (their first elimination in three years). - And from looks of it, Steve Kerr's heroics in Game 6 WCF is his most favorite career moment, not the clutch shot he made off Michael Jordan's pass Game 6 1997 NBA Finals. - True or not, Kenny Smith has that sneaky story in Open Court on Hakeem Olajuwon's reaction to David Robinson's MVP season in 1995. Funny thing is, Dave caught up with the Rockets in total number of rings (2). - So happy for Kevin Willis (1984 draft class), Danny Ferry (1989), and Steve Smith (1991). Willis and Smith are Michigan natives and Michigan State alums. - From asterisk, Phil Jackson called it "an aberration" orchestrated by the "simulator crew" (coaching staff). 2005 - Steve Nash-led Phoenix was the new league darlings. Seattle (now OKC) made noise but lost steam in the latter season. - First season Coach Pop implemented "load management" to Tim Duncan (who played non-stop basketball the previous two years due to international commitments). Despite of that, Duncan dealt injuries in the regular season and Playoffs. Spurs chose health than catching up to Suns' best record. - Duncan played through the injuries (if only "number 2" has watched his performance) in the Playoffs up to the Finals. Sean Elliott described winning the third Title "solidified his (Duncan) position in Springfield (Massachusetts)". - Kudos to Robert Horry's heroics in Game 5 Finals (sadly, he's indifferent to SA now), while breakout year of Manu Ginobili (first All-Star; Games 1-2, and 7 Finals brilliance). 2007 - Like it or not, the Golden State Warriors deserve a big-time thanks for exploiting Dallas' weaknesses at the wrong time for the latter. The Mavs were invincible throughout the season. With Mavs gone (and their borderline arrogance), San Antonio took the opportunity (Mavs have their number in the regular season; 3-1) to clinch number four, and redeem themselves from heartbreaking series loss to same Mavs the previous year. - So happy for Michael Finley, the first of Mavs' then-"big three" to win it all. Dirk Nowitzki followed in 2011. Steve Nash didn't won as a player, but as player consultant capacity for GSW (2015?). 2014 - Redemption, not revenge. - Phil Jackson tweeted, congratulating the Spurs and admire their toughness following the heartbreaking Finals loss the previous year (feel sorry for TMac). Dennis Rodman tweeted too, congratulating his "old team". - Kudos for keeping the team almost intact instead of overreacting like what happened to 2000 Blazers (Indiana is exempted; Rik Smits decided to retire). - "The Beautiful Game" at its best, in the process still holds the biggest winning margin in Finals history. - The rise of the traitor from the inside (haha). 2022 - 23 - I am reluctant watching this video series, as if forcing me to watch the glorious past that was and seems will take almost a lifetime to happen again. Lo and behold, great hope reemerges by clinching the top pick and the opportunity to select a "super-prospect". - My pleasure creating a litany. :P

And "The Admiral" does not care about the "elite star" description as much as you do. Because what David did to the franchise, both in and out of the court; before, during, and after his playing career, is way beyond "elite star" as you perceive -- even way beyond what Pat and Dream had achieved in life combined.

I loved seeing the 1999-2003-2005-2007-2014. I remember only 2014 cause I was a junior in high school and I wanted to go out but couldn’t. Then I heard why. Cause the roads were fully blocked with cars. I cried this entire video thank you for the memories on the championships
