Im hearing what we thought in the 2000s, halides and kalk just work. We make things so hard on ourselves theses days. My sps tank in 2003 was so so easy. 15k DE halides, kalk, skimmer, live rock, cheato, water changes. No traces, no dinos, no issues, just fast easy growth.

I don’t any carbon dosing. I dose benepets, PnSB, recently experimenting with ammonium bicarbonate.

It’s not too bad. I do time of use and use about 120kwh per day. At about 25 cents, works out to about 1k per month

Avast Kalk are not good. The way it doses Kalk dilutes the solution as it’s dosed. Better is to mix a large container like 50 gallons and dose it that way. Better as it’s a consistent dose.
