The tapestries of Lady/Princess Elizabeth are fascinating. I hadn’t heard that before I don’t think. I wonder if these could have been Anne’s and they were passed down to her, or if Catherine Parr might have given them to Elizabeth as a gift. I can’t see Henry doing it, tbh. He was more interested in Classical or Biblical themes and mythology. There must be a connection between Margariette of Navarre, Anne Boleyn, Elizabeth and Catherine Parr, but perhaps she was just an author a lot of learned noblewomen read… possibly Katherine of Aragon and Mary, Mary and Margaret Tudor… that’s an interesting thought.

Thank you for this fascinating video. I suppose by today's standards, she wouldn't seem much of a feminist. However, I can't deny that she promoted the virtues of women and a confidence that women could shoulder the responsibility of power. Nascent feminism? Perhaps.
