As a guy who hasn’t had much luck, I’ve had to accept that until it becomes clear it’s best to just try and be the best Christ follower I can to everyone. If God wants me to be married then it’ll happen naturally in His timing

I’m right there with you, but I will say this. I think there’s a reason why a lot of guys like this are single. There’s something about us that we do not see that God wants to define before he even brings along a woman that we are required to lead well. To be honest, I think lust is a big issue, but it’s not the only one here. Do we have struggles that need to be resolved before marriage? Do we have hangups? Can we protect? Are we even pursuing the Lord in the way we should or are we just focusing on him in order to get something, be a wife or a job or money? That’s not what God is called us to and I think that in his sovereign timing, he is allowing us to identify this and let him do something about it in us.

One question that should be discussed as well is realistic standards in searching for partners. This issue can go either way, but I especially feel like women these days have such unfairly unrealistic standards that Godly men do not have a chance.

@@aversfudge5086 can I ask what kind of unrealistic standards you’re referring to? Thank you.

@@tinon6587 a good example is the beauty is fleeting concept that is brought up. We teach men that. But that's goes BOTH ways you know. Nothing wrong with wanting a partner that you can be attracted to, but it's like if you don't look a certain way you're just "not godly enough." Yeah... uh huh.... There's also this issue where women really want a man who can lead (which is good and biblical) but then have an issue with submitting to a husband. So everyone wants men to lead but then acts surprised when they found out that they have to follow said men. You want a LEADER, you're gonna get LEAD. There's also this concept that women will naturally become submissive when a man shows up. Uh no... It teaches that older women should teach the younger women to love their husbands. You literally need to be taught and guided on how to be submissive in the same way men need to be taught to lead and guide a woman in a marriage.

@@tinon6587 Yes I have a few examples. One example I have seen before is that a girl will want a guy she is dating to be asking about her bible quiet time or pray with her beyond just blessing meals. But she will not express to him the interest in doing that she'll just expect him to do it and if he does not do that then she breaks up with him without ever expressing her expectations. Perhaps the guys would have loved to do that, but he did not know if she was comfortable. Another one is just breaking up with a guy when the 'honeymoon phase' is over. Like as soon as it becomes apparent that the guy is not perfect or he is struggling with something then she just wants to breakup with him rather than stand by him and encourage him. Or breaking up with a guy if he has a messy past. He can be a committed born again believer who has messed up in the past and she'll breakup with him because he was not raised the way she was. assuming the girl comes from a believing family.

My biggest thing is i feel like the harder you search the less likely you are to find it! Idk why this happens! I looked for month and month and never found anyone! I stopped looking and found someone but we never became official sadly. Point is idk how smart it is to search for a wife and get one that isnt good or never get one. But at the same time JP is way smarter than me so listen to him lol

Florida girl here. At least where I live, it feels like there aren’t many truly godly girls or guys. I’ve given up on finding anyone here 😅

I appreciate that you guys said there are Christian women, but that you challenged people (men) to also look for what God wants them to look for. Also, to just go where the Godly women are.

I commented on the last video about “where are the godly guys,” asking for this video. Thanks for making it! I think another problem is how to know if women are actively seeking a husband in your church? I feel like if I just ask someone I’m attracted to out in a date, they’ll think I’m being too forward or don’t have pure intentions. Do you have an episode about figuring out if people are interested in pursuing marriage without being obtuse?

As an Orlando resident, there’s plenty of Godly women. Frankly, at our church, there’s a shortage of Godly guys and wayy too many girls. Come to Lifebridge Church but don’t be weird. #Wifebridge

"The average guy has to work 10x as hard for the same quality woman that his grandfather did," is what the redpill crowd would say. The opposite is also true though.
