Since we've been going to this place for a while, why don't we put a cabin there. Just bought 7 acres in Fairbanks Alaska. This cabin is exactly what I want......minus all of the clutter. Double wood stoves will be a priority for winter living & solar power in summer. Fairbanks gets in the 80's...amazing.

Jim G That's what I've heard a lot . They take real pride in what they do . I wish I could afford to own & live in one but being retired early on a fixed income it's not possible for me unfortunately . Ever hear of an owner looking for a care taker when they aren't living in their log home here on the west coast of Florida ? Beautiful Log Cabin in the Colorado Mountains . Glad it was finished for the family before Thanksgiving .

I'm having a log home built now. We didn't go with Meadowlark, tho we did briefly inquire with them. We are going with a different company, also out of PA, and also Amish. Everything I've seen from the Amish community has been top notch craftsmanship.

After 2 episodes I'm hooked and now falling in love with wood cabins but more so their work. Everything is so perfect. This home is my favorite so far. Great respect for the entire team putting these fabulous cabins together.

I lived in British Columbia, Canada and we do have Pioneer Log Homes that also build beautiful log homes, I thought they're the best, but you can rival their craftmanship and log building plus more. nice job.

My husband and I plan to have a log cabin built this year but having trouble finding the right builder in Florida. There are companies but prices are sky high. It's our dream in our late 60's to get this home built and enjoy before it's too late. We live in N. Central Florida where land is a bit cheaper.

WOW! I'm only repeating myself over and over. This is my 3rd viewing. I started at episode #1. Looks like I'm right on track. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! (I wouldn't LOVE how the porch drops, suddenly, but they do!) I also couldn't even afford the "BENCH" that ABBY designed! So who am I to criticize! Watching these just, instantly, make me in a good mood! So happy for the couple that must have worked very hard in their lives to be able to hire the workmanship of "Amish Meadows!"

I'm impressed that you don't rely strictly on the use of nail guns, and actually use a hammer and real nails, and rebar in the construction. I trying to get a non profit for homeless youth going, along with a homeless military Veteran, for every 20 kids we'd have on the complex. They ALL deserve a second chance, especially the kids, who've already been through more trauma and bad experiences than most adults have. I thought initially that using shipping containers would be the best way to go, then I looked into pre-fab modules, but since the complex will be literally a ranch, why not make it LOOK like a real ranch. I think after watching several of your, and another log home builders videos, that a log structure is the best way to go, time wise, and probably the end cost, plus it's longevity. Well done! You may well be hearing from me for the first, of hopefully five large builds. The first will be in North Carolina, where the Summers are hot and VERY humid, and luckily the Winters are relatively warm compared to other parts of the country. Again, job well done!!! 👍❤✌

We have built a lot of log homes in North Carolina. If you have a chance to go up to the little town of Moravian Falls, there is a subdivision outside of town called West Meadows. There are about a dozen log homes right in the village and the surrounding area that we built.

With the open loft please tell me you put up some kind of barrier so that you don’t accidentally fall to the bottom the one area I’m speaking and saw no ponywall or even a mix of wood and metal was by the stairs that didn’t show anything but open air!

It is beautiful !! They worked so hard !! Bless their hearts . I think I would have wanted 2 more bedrooms and 1 more bathroom at least for the kids . I wasn't too sure about the kittens cabinets until I saw them installed . I have pine cabinets in my house, but I didn't know there was such things as a blue pine . I love that !! They are so blessed to have such a beautiful log cabin . Thanks for sharing this awesome video !!

We build in Colorado with no problems. Inspections are no issue for us. And yes there are building permits you have to get before you can build it. We also engineer stamp all of our plans for Colorado.
