It's always lovely to see your smile Christine. You have such a lovely channel. Watched this video while having my breakfast. The 'gherkin' that's yellow has gone over. I'm not a fan myself but what a haul! Danny 🌱

Everything is late so late Christine, I am beginning to wonder if there is enough sunshine hours left this year to ripen my tomatoes 🍅 plenty of fruit but not the right colour. Always enjoy seeing the home garden and you're ability to squeeze so much in, it's fabulous. Thank you for sharing. 🐞🌻🌱

I agree, let's hope we have lots of sun in September and October, I do remember one year having a lovely October, it does feel like the seasons are shifting. The garden is a real squeeze but I do like it looking full but perhaps I've got a little OTT this year! Enjoy the rest of the week. 😊🌼

Been madly preserving too. The home garden looks so lush, mine is a little tatty right now, but picks back up with the cool down.

@@RobinGardens I've just started canning, water bath method, wow there's quite a lot to learn and varying advice but enjoying it, so nice to think we can enjoy home grown in the winter. 😊🌻

@@LittleGreenShedAllotment I stick to the Ball Book of Canning and only vary the spices etc. Those pickling type cucumbers are tastiest harvested small. When they get bigger and go yellow/brown they are trying to make seed. Bummer part of that is, the plant thinks it's done its job and will shut down production. Good luck on your canning adventures.

Hi I'm getting used to your friendly fox. Your metal planters are great. What size are they and did you film setting them up please?💯💕
@LittleGreenShedAllotment18 күн бұрын
Hi, the metal planters are really good and dead easy to construct, I filmed putting one together in Episode 15, it is about 8 minutes in. They are made by Birdies and you can have different configurations, I went for the longest which is, at a guess, about 6 feet long and about 2 feet wide. 😊

Hi Christine, have you ever thought of moving the shed to the left against the corner to give you a much bigger slab area next to it? It’s over ripe and you can probably save seed from it. Yes normal die back and the pumpkin 🎃 will be fine just staying there. 😅😅 every time I water my poor carrots they do that. 😂😂 Bombay gin 👍👍. My Sungold are the only ones ripening at the moment. It’s all looking amazing and great harvests, have a great week, Ali ☔️🌞🇨🇦

Hi Ali, thanks for letting me know about the giant cornichon and the pumpkins, it seems like everything throws up new questions, definitely a learning curve. 😊 Funnily enough when planning the allotment one of the options was to put the shed to the edge of the plot but I quite liked the idea of a path down the middle leading to the shed, possibly not the most practical space wise in hindsight. I think if I suggested moving the shed to my family it would be a definite no! 😂 Hope your week is going well. 🌻😊
