A lovely but very poignant podcast, watching it now in February 2022. So many plans and dreams that were waylaid by a virus. I look forward to finding out how you went in the next 2 years. I must say that I discovered Arnie and Carlos in March 2020 and they more or less saved my sanity during lockdowns with their podcasts. And then I discovered many other amazing podcasters, and I am in awe of their generosity in spending their time and energy sharing their knowledge, knits and life. Like you do. So thanks a million for your podcast. I love it.

What a lovely podcast to knit to as we wait for 35 cm of snow tomorrow here in NS!! Congrats on the new job. My husband, Bill, started off his civil servant career at "external affairs" as it was then known and as he wanted to walk to work that is how we ended up in New Edinburgh. My word for the year is creativity as I want to push myself a bit more in my fiber arts studio. Nourish your soul, heart, and body (and knitting needles) in this upcoming year Selma!

Your episodes are always a treat. Thank you for mentioning the different stranded techniques. I usually carry one thread in each hand but that doesn’t solve my problem with tension and how it stresses me😉 I’ll try another technique. Your dark blue sweater looks great on you! Such a beautiful podcast, Selma. Thank you! I loved the snowy scenes at the beginning and again at the end - and your Christmas tree was beautiful! I watched Kate's podcast immediately before yours so had already seen her lovely Habitation throw, and when I saw yours I was just thinking how fluffier it looked, and then you said that you had stranded some mohair with the minis which was such a great touch. Nourish is an excellent word for you to focus on in 2020 and I wish you a very Happy New Year, and all the best with your new job.

Happy New Year to you and your family! It was so nice to watch this latest podcast - it's always fun to see what you've been up to. I really enjoyed hearing about the books you read in 2019 - you've inspired me to keep better track of what I read in 2020. Also, if you're ever in the Niagara area, I noticed that Commisso's (a grocery store in the Falls) has three different kinds of the detergent you mentioned - one is in liquid form (like the one you showed), and two are in powder form (for wool and fine cloth, but comes in a box). Finally, congratulations on the new position! Must be exciting!!

Hello Selma, I just saw your video for the first time and have to comment on a couple of things. First, the beginning of the video is absolutely beautiful, winter is my favorite season. Winter, snow and trees are my absolute favorite things that this world has to offer. I am on Lake Erie in the state of Pennsylvania in the U.S. and I am getting " jipped " of winter the last few years, and seeing the first part of your video actually made me SMILE seeing the snow and trees. Now the other thing I really liked was your Habitation Throw, it is so pretty, just my colors, and it looks so soft, where can I find the pattern for the throw as I would love to make one. Thank you, I will continue to watch. Alicia

Selma, I love hanging out with you. I have an idea for that yarn you showed that was inspired by your Father’s house; Take a shadow box and get the picture of his house printed out and tack it to the inside, then make a swatch roughly the same size as the photo also put that inside, then maybe find a small trinket that belonged to your Father or one given to you by him and place it in your shadow box. That way you could hang it up in your home to display the yarn and you can then use the rest for your socks or whatever. Then you can always see the yarn and the house.
