Lovely! I’m knitting on a sock whilst watching in awe - crochet is a form of wizardry that I struggle to master!

Hi Stephanie Lovely to see you once again, you are such an inspiration and I love all your projects. Love the Shelley Husband granny squares book. I can crochet a little but struggle joining granny squares together, might be because I am left handed. A big knitter though. So sorry to hear of your loss of your dog, so sad. Have a lovely few days in the Yorkshire Dales and see you again very soon. Take care Amanda from Lincolnshire xxx😀😀🧶🧶🧶

It certainly does, which is why I like to make smaller projects during the hot weather. Enjoy your project, and happy crocheting 🥰

I'm really happy you're back making videos. I have got to be honest, and the yarn at the back showing that eay would also make me think if I could be happy with the end result. Perhaps you could vack it with a brushed cotton fabric if you didn't want to frog it. Can't wait for another episode. Big hugs xxx 🥰 🤗

Hi Davina, thank you so much, that's so lovely of you to say. I've decided I'm going to frog it all and try intarsia crochet. A couple of my lovely subscribers have recommended trying it so I've ordered some Clover bobbins today. I think I'll probably be happier doing it that way. Take care and see you soon xxx 🥰 🤗

I like the blanket with the cream and pink. One side will look more creamy, and then the other will have a pinker side. I think it looks good!

I think you should carry on with the tapestry crochet blanket as the carrying of the colour didn’t look bad and it’s a beautiful blanket. I am very tempted to do it myself. I did a tapestry crochet scarf for my daughter with a sausage dog on. At the beginning I thought this can’t be right as I could see the black through the cream but the designer said I was doing it right. When it was finished it was beautiful and my daughter loves it so don’t stop ❤

Thanks, Kerry, that's good to hear, and the scarf that you made sounds lovely. I'll carry on with it and see how I go 🥰

So nice to see you uploading videos again. About the tapestry blanket. ….Inspired by you I made the Emma’s Hearts blanket. It was my first time carrying colours across rows and I didn’t enjoy it one bit. The finished blanket is lovely although the colours in the back peep through here and there. I can just about live with it but wouldn’t be happy with any more than that. At least I tried a new, to me, technique but it’s not one I will be repeating. Loved everything you showed in this video. I always end up wanting to buy yet more books yarn and I don’t know what else after watching you 😂

It's so lovely to have you back here again. I think sometimes it's worth trying something new, and at least you completed it. I just love to share what I'm making and buying (although I definitely don't need anything else anytime soon). I just think we're all the same when it comes to our hobby, aren't we? Happy crocheting 🥰

Another great video. I honestly think the tapestry blanket is ok, it is only on the back that the other colour shows through. However if it worries you perhaps you should abandon it, because if you are anything like me I wouldn’t enjoy making it if I felt it wasn’t looking good. I am loving the Mayan, those colours that Lucy put together work so well. Enjoy your break away. x

Thanks for the video and showing us what you're working on. I, too, don't hate the colors showing through when you carry them when doing tapestry crochet. Your project would lend itself to intarsia crochet, which is the same as tapestry except using separate spools of yarn so you don't carry them. I just finished a project using this method and I'm so pleased with the way it looks - no carried yarn showing through! It's a bit more difficult as you have to manage several spools of yarn, but so worth it, as far as I'm concerned.

@@CraftyDragonflyCrochet Such a cute blanket, so it's a shame to give up on that project. I think spools will give you the look you want. If you hate crocheting that way, it isn't worth it though - you've got to enjoy it!

Thanks for the company! I'm a knitter who can crochet a little and that book about granny squares is perfect for me! I'm getting into the habit of writing (with paper and pencil) all the new stitches I encounter, I'm afraid the internet is going to disappear and all my crafty knowledge with it! Thanks for the inspiration!

You don’t have to carry the yarn thru the whole thing. I wouldn’t. Use a spool for the pink pattern and drop it. That’s how I do it regardless of pattern. Perhaps you could pull the pink out of the white rows back to the pink pattern.
