Thank you Hannah, let me know what you think when you've finished it. Have you read any other books by Frieda Mcfadden? I'm baffled reading Layla from Colleen Hoover, which is good I guess 😆 it's keeping me guessing and trying to figure out what is going on!💖

Another ovely podcast, Sherrie! Thank you! Your socks are all beautiful and your blankets are progressing well! I always smile when you talk about those noisy seagulls! I live less than 5 minutes from the seaside so, yes, I hear them all the time too, and yes, they are so noisy! Some of them are huge too and become quite aggressive once their chicks leave the nest! I have been attacked a couple of times and have heard of them attacking rabbits and cats, and even small dogs, in the local area!

Great podcast as always Sherrie, a lovely Friday treat! :) Love all of the sock yarn that you have been working with and I like just knitting a vanilla sock sometimes, especially if you are watching tv and knitting at the same time. I have just started a cosy memories blanket and I am really enjoying it. I am all for the cosy, mindful knitting at the moment that doesn't take up too much of my concentration. We are big Stranger Things fans in our house and have just finished re-watching it :D but I could honestly watch that show over and over and never get tired of it. Love the 80's vibes and the characters. We have also just finished binging through the new Fallout show which I definitely recommend. I enjoy the Colleen Hoover books and have read Verity, Ends with Us, Starts With Us and Too Late. I quite enjoy them and read through them pretty quickly. Layla and The Housemaid series are on my list, but I am also adding Never Lie now as it sounds good and I love a good thriller/ mystery/ suspense story. I recently read Tell No One by Harlan Coben. If you haven't already read it I would recommend.
@OllieandBella8 ай бұрын
Aww thank you for your sweet words Katherine! 💖 Yes to cosy mindless knitting, which does require a lot of brain power! Some days are busy and fully packed and it's nice to just sit and relax but keep your hands busy without even having to think about it. YES!!! We feel exactly the same - just keep rewatching and rewatching over and over again! I might rewatched season 4 😆 Ohh I saw Fallout, that's on Prime isn't it 🤔? We started Red Eye last night on ITVx it's a Drama with Richard Armitage in, so far so good! I will add Tell No One to my GoodReads list and yes read Layla, I am almost done with it on my Kindle and as I've got further into the book I'm a bit puzzled but in a good way. I was not expecting to take the turn it did 😯

i prefer a slightly more snug fit and a denser fabric for socks - i think it makes them more durable. i'm quite a loose knitter and i use either a 1.75 or 2 mm needle usually.

Yes I know exactly what you mean about the socks feeling denser, that's how my socks feel on a 2.25mm. Oh wow a 1.75mm💖

Another lovely catch up with you Sherrie. The sock yarns you are using a beautiful, love the Stranger Things one. I’m currently working on another granny shawl and I have a few pairs of socks on the needles. Whilst watching you I’ve got the yarn ready to make my daughter some more dishcloths as well. We have just finished watching Three Body Problem on Netflix, not our usual watch but strangely we enjoyed it. I’ve just finished reading Stargazers by Harriet Evan’s which I thoroughly enjoyed and have now started The Memory Library by Kate Storey. Look forward to catching up next time, have a great few weeks x

Thank you Cheryl. Oh I saw that on Netflix and wasn't sure about it but we might give it a try. We are now on season 2 of Ted Lasso and enjoying it. We did start watching Red Eye on ITVx last night, it has Richard Armitage in and so far so good! How many socks do you usually have on the go? They seem to multiply like Gremlins😁 I want to cast more on😂 Thank you 🥰

@@OllieandBella we loved Ted Lasso, didn’t want it to end. I only normally have one pair on the go as I’m not the fastest knitter. I love all your socks! You have such a good eye for sock yarn. I would love you to share how you get on with the sock blockers. I keep debating whether to buy some myself. I watched an episode of the Wool Needles Hands podcast where Taylor said she doesn’t like to use them as it stretches out the ribbing at the top instead of letting it cinch in. So I have hit the pause button for now.
@OllieandBella8 ай бұрын
Thank you Amanda 💖 yes that makes total sense about the ribbing.
