Love the hair! Your Gary Barlow question made me laugh! He is from Cheshire but accent is Mancunian. I’ve just started reading The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, loving it so far. I too have a very full bookshelf and trying to work through them…then I’m going to try and use the local library more. Love your works in progress, lots of socks!! Xx

Love your new hair cut! It really suits you. Love all those socks and blankets too. I actually like my socks a little slouchy! Probably not the most popular but too snug socks- especially around the cuff are a big no for me! Take care x

I always use 2.25mmneedles for my socks unless the sock yarn is very plump, like Kroy sock yarn.

Your hair looks lovely. I start my sock on a 2.5mm and knit down to the heel turn before changing to a 2.25mm to complete the sock. I prefer the snugger fit on the foot and less snug on the leg.
@OllieandBella11 ай бұрын
Thank you 🥰 oh yes what a great idea about using different sizes for different parts of the foot/leg! I might have to give that try, the only thing is I have a terrible memory so may forget what size I’m on 😂💖

I love your haircut. It looks really great on you. I prefer my socks snug. I am relatively new to sock knitting but I really enjoy it. I just finished a pair for my son and he loves them. I must say that knitting for a men's size 11 (Canadian sizes) footis a lot different than knitting for a woman's!

Hi SherriI like my socks on the snug side I’m joining in the socks and book Cal by earthtones girl and I’ve just finished listening to the women which was amazing. Also just read Oversharing by Jane Fallon which I picked up in the supermarket. I actually read it really quickly an easy read and now listening to Kate Morton’s homecoming on audible new over to me, and really enjoying that.I have way more than 4 sock wips I keep getting bored and want to cast on new colour ways !

I’ve knit my socks 64 stitches on 2.5 mm, but have noticed that I’m not liking when they feel loose on my foot after having on for just a little while. I have heard so many sock knitters say they are knitting with 2.25 mm, so decided to give it a try on my last pair of socks….they are shorties, so haven’t given them a good wear yet, but they feel nice and snug on my foot. I guess I’d say the jury is still out on this for me. 😏🧦❤️🧦
@OllieandBella9 ай бұрын
Yes, that's exactly what I was finding. The socks would loosen with wear, which wasn't too bad if I was just around the house but if I put my shoes on I was finding they weren't sitting nicely in my shoes. How are you finding the shorties?💖
