Glad to hear about your sock knitting goal for 2024. Such fun to make. I have knit more than a dozen socks in both 2022 and 2023. They included fingering and DK (mainly fingering and mohair held together) and some were shorties. Most have been gifted - people love handknitted socks😄.

So happy for you getting those loans taken care of!! And completing all those miles of running to achieve your goals, look at you go!!!!! I also plan on knitting 12 pairs of socks this year and the cozy classic raglan is #3 in my queue! But I'll be spinning the yarn for that and haven't started the spin yet so other things may jump ahead here and there. Last year I spun for a Weekender light with Nest fiber club and I did a combo spin with 2 strands of different colorway and one strand of plain corridale, so it's color changing and heathered at the same time. Whatever you choose will be amazing!!

I love your handspun sweater. Beautiful. I am so inspired now. I spin on a drop spindle and love it. It might take me a life time to spin the yarn for a sweater, but I am going to give it a bash. I only ran on Saturday when it got to the longer runs. I did strengthening exercises a couple times during the week but not having evening runs during the week opened up time for knitting and kept me from getting injured.

Love your hand spun sweater. I love the alternating cable cast on. I learned it from Samantha’s Salty Air and use it every time I have a 1x1 cast on. So good.

The hand spun is gorgeous!! I’m curious if you’ll try to match stripes on the sleeves or just go with what comes out? It’ll be so fun regardless 💛

Since the yarn is totally random I chose not to match stripes. I have one sleeve done already and I think it looks cool. The color changes are slower since it’s a smaller circumference.
