Hey man, just recently picked up a copy of HeroQuest, and was worried if I was gonna like it or not, but after playing the first quest, I immediately ordered all available expansions. Haha. Cant wait for The Mage of the Mirror. Anyway, I just started painting the heroes, (got the barbarian finished) and was wondering if I wanted to go with gold, silver, or a copper for the dwarves armor, and stumbled upon your channel and decided on gold. Love your work, man. And don't ever apologize for going on tangents. I do it all the time. I can talk to people about board games and miniature painting for hours. Unfortunately almost nobody I associate with know what the hell I'm talking about. 😅

@@nerdknights1122 Definitely, man. You put out awesome content. And yeah, it sucks sometimes because this is one of those hobbies where it pays to have others around you who have been in it for years, to teach you all kinds of techniques. Outside of that, you're learning on your own, which I'm fine with. I'm ine of those, "learn by doing," people anyway, but I've also only been at it for about 4 months now, and without YT, and people like you, I'd have a bunch of mass produced looking minis on my table. Haha. I actually picked up the Seraphim Sepia on Retributor Armour to give that gold more punch, and from there practiced using colored shades like, Drakenhof Nightshade over Leadbelcher to make armor take on the color properties of that shade, because sometimes you want armor with that blue, green, or red tint. Also found a good rust effect by dabbing a bit of Typhus Corrosion on, then after that dries, wet blending some Dry Rust and Thondia Brown, and it just gives it that rough, rusty corrosion look which I used on a lot of the zombies swords from Heroquest, and I'm friggin blabbing. Anyway. I appreciate the response! Haha.

@@riot_of_flowers725 Dude, it sounds like you're more than 4 months in. When I was 4 months in my mini's looked like absolute trash garbage. Those are some good techniques that I still use to this day! Keep going and you'll never stop on the hobby. I absolutely love it and wish I could make a living out of it.

Hey Foxx I typically do one brush full of water to one brush full of paint on a wet pallet for my consistency.

What can I say? I am a sucker for GW paints. Got sucked in at an early age.
