Also worth noting the US deminimus is $800 USD. So anything UNDER $800 is not subject to Duty. So even if this tariff scenario were to happen, it wouldn't affect anything under $800 US value for regular American people buying from outside of the US from Canada. This mainly effects large companies exporting to the US. Obviously this could change as well but the current trade act was just revised I believe on Jan 17th 2025 to target China mainly as they have been abusing the program. But this could also impact e-commerce and cross border shippers to the USA as well. So even if there are no tariffs put on Canada, with the changes upcoming to the deminimus, this could have a negative impact on e-commerce sellers who sell to the USA.
