I agree with Chris Simms' assessment. Ur highest paid player should not be the player with the biggest question marks. Tua has two big question marks. His performance in big games and his susceptibility to injury. It was a very bad decision to pay him franchise qb money.

I love Tua and have been a Dolphins fanatic for 50 years, but I've moved past this "present" version of this football team! We seem incomplete, and disjointed. We have a QB that can't be tackled, and our top lineman is a part timer! We have a GM that is not good at building an offensive line to protect a brittle QB, and lets a high caliber player like Van Ginkle just walk, definitely a multi contract guy, and the type of player that is great for your team overall! Flores was all over that, and now he's "Killing it" in Minnesota! I like Grier, and trusted the leadership, but it is definitely time for change!

What hurt the franchise was drafting a majorly hurt but talented QB and doing a shit job building an offensive line. Andrew Luck was built prototypical and was broken by the Colts because they never built an OLine. So what did the front office and/or fans think was going to happen?
@Ballaholic174 күн бұрын
The Dolphins bent the knee to Tua. If a fragile, slightly above average player can publicly say "The market is the market", and proceed to get a big, market value contract. It shows how desperate and spineless the organization is. The Miami Dolphins let the inmates run the asylum, and they have no organizational values to stand on. A player should never dictate terms to an NFL franchise unless he's Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes, Payton Manning, Josh Allen or any player that has made the franchise relevant by himself. The funny thing is, none of those guys would come out and say something like that in public, and have actually taken less money to help the team. The new slogan for the Dolphins should be "Pay me" because that's about the only thing they do well

34:30 I don't even understand how you guys cannot say the offensive line was an issue in the run game. You understand what you're saying about running against light boxes? We are literally saying if every person blocks their man there's no one to account for the running backs. So how are the running backs getting hit at the line or behind it?!? It's not even just football, it's math. In 11 personal Miami see some of the highest 2 high shells in the league this means we have have 6 defenders in the box vs 5 linemen, the QB and Running back. They motion the TE a bunch for insert concepts (adding a lead blocker with out having to go 21) AND STILL LOSE AT THE POINT OF ATTACK!! Fans got excited about Wynn literally stalemating a DT for the long run vs the Niners. That should be the bare minimum. This how bad our line been. Literally having to run screens at the highest rate in the league to supplement the Run game. What are you guys talking about here?!
@AnEyeRacky3 күн бұрын
This point I actually argue all the time. Defenses play zone/2 high safety looks against Miami almost exclusively. They constantly have the numbers up front to put a hat on a hat....and they FAIL CONSTANTLY. If you get a hat on a hat, and your Rbs are still being met at the line of scrimmage or behind it, there is a major problem...your line is 4xply shit paper soft. Its not the reason this team is awful, but it is a giant contributing factor to it for sure
