Flores had a disciplined toughteam with few penalties and mistakes. Had Flores remained with the talent McDaniels has the Dolphins would have played in a championship game already . And remember it wasn’t Flores that arranged a secret meeting with Brady. The front office didn’t believe in Tua either. Everyone will eventually see that Tua is not elite.

I love Tua as a person but I’m finished with him as our QB. He’s missed games due to injury 4 of the 5 years he’s been here. We simply cannot rely on him to be our franchise quarterback with that track record. A franchise quarterback has to be available in December and the playoffs. Tua is 50/50 at best. Regardless of this weekend’s outcome, Grier has to be fired. His rebuild has been an unmitigated disaster. We have an aging top heavy roster with a horrendous offensive line. What he did this past offseason with the OG and DT position is unforgivable. He continues to sign and draft players with significant injury histories and wonders why we have major issues with injuries in December.

I will start by saying I am a fin fan for life since 82. That said most fin fans would know wouldn’t know what elite QB play is. Brady had teams, players and coach. Mahomes watch Brady leave and then took the reins with team, players and coach. Mia since Tua has come in has a had players, not a team or coach of the level that Mahomes or Brady had. I am realistic I felt Tua needed to retire last year but I’m ok with him being the dolphins QB. This team is not far as a team goes. Need better trench play and they need more leaders. The degree to which true pass pro (PBWR) is neglected in its importance both to QB and (especially) team success is astounding. Here are the top 10 teams right now for PBWR: 1. Denver 2. Minnesota 3. Baltimore 4. Philly 5. Buffalo 6. KC 7. Tampa Bay 8. Washington 9. Green Bay 10. L.A. (Chargers) What do all those teams have in common? Can't quite put my finger on it. Oh yeah, 9 of the 10 have already clinched playoff spots before the final week of the season. For the bottom 10? The only team getting in is Houston unless Miami hits an inside straight (because OF COURSE we're in the bottom 10 for PBWR *yet again*). "Everything has to be perfect for Tua." Here is the PBWR Tua has enjoyed in his career by year: #24, #32(!), #27, #32(!), and #23 (which could actually drop after Sunday given that we're tied with teams #24-#26 ignoring the decimal). What GAME (let alone season) has "everything been perfect" for him playing behind the lines we field year after year? If he had AVERAGE (not perfect) pass pro this year and an AVERAGE (not perfect) ability to punish teams with inside runs to run them out of cover 2 with high leverage in the box, our offense likely would've looked significantly better, no? KC was #1 last year in PBWR, #1 the year before that, #2 the year before that, and this year have plummeted all the way to #6. Bills have been #6, #4, #8, #4 the last four years. Ravens have been #6, #10, #8, #2. Eagles have been #4, #12, #3, #11 (#4 again this year). Last year Green Bay was #2 and Love looked amazing. Houston was top 10 and Stroud looked amazing (this year Houston has poor pass pro - though still ranked higher than Tua has AVERAGED IN HIS CAREER - and now it's "poor Stroud is being let down by his protection"). Tua's health might derail his career. Fair enough. But whether it's Tua or the next guy...PLEASE...evaluate the results of the Miami QB in light of his protection given this data. Also, the whole "well PFF or ESPN [who, as an aside, both meticulously go play by play, player by player to make their rankings and evaluations] might say the O line is terrible, but I don't put much stock in their ratings" gets really old when all that's offered as a substitute is the sportswriter "eye test."

The Giants win does make sense if dieon said he want going to allow his son to go to the Giants. Neither Sanders nor Ward are typical of the QBs that the Giants like anyways. Just imagine how the Giants would look being forced to trade the #1 pick when the world knows they need a QB.

Alian continues to quietly bash Tua claiming Hill was carrying the team. Hill and Waddle did squat without Tua after their big paydays. Running game is not Tuas fault. The bad special teams coach is not Tuas fault. New defensive coach 3 years in a row. Not Tua fault. This team this year even without Tua with their investment money on their offense they should have minimum 2 more wins under their belt. My point you keep doubling down this season on Tua meanwhile missing the bigger picture.

🙄 He had a top 5 run game. Top 10 defense. 2 receivers combining for 3k yards and a 3 game lead in the division with 5 to play. 4 of them at home. Blew it and got mopped in the wild card rd. Tua's career playoff record. 0-1 in 5 years with no division titles. All while he was on his rookie deal. Now, his huge contract is about to kick in. Good luck getting that oline and filling all the other holes on the roster if they couldn't do it when he was cheap

You could run the tush push with Saquon Barkley and it would be just the same, if not more effective. Barkley would just need to spend time working with the center on taking snaps under center, so he has comfort in doing it. Other than that, it would be exactly the same, if not better, than Jalen running that play. And it’s not even close when it comes to passing ability between Tua and Jalen, still today. Jalen is just now starting to catch up with where Tua was as a true freshman in college as a passer.

If the Fins don’t change the FO, anything that happens in 2025 is a crapshoot. At that point, don’t draft a QB. If. New GM is in place, the GM should have every right to draft a QB first round if he has one he loves. I’m biased towards Cam Ward. Why… because media points out some so called flaws exactly the same as those ascribed to Mahomes. Ward’s arm is up there with Matt Stafford’s as to strength. Better than Stroud’s. He is also durable.
