Im sub'ing to this Chanel just due to your comments! It's refreshing to see the Chanel owner reply and stand your ground, love it, good banter, and I'm a Tudor fan boy! That hurt btw 🤣 I totally disagree though, I sold my Rolex and now own quite a few Tudors, it's the thinking mans Rolex🤔😂 I'm in it for the long haul baby.......will most probably be dead by the time they double in value! However, I love them and love wearing them. I remember 15/20 years ago I could buy any Rolex, and my local AD's offered 0% APR over 3 years as well, and used were cheaper than new, so you never know!

Thank you good sir! Yes I don’t like to pretend or pander to people who expect to get resonance on their mediocre opinions. I may not please everyone, but it’ll be honest and a fresh take at least. I do appreciate Tudor as a brand. I just try to talk people off their high-horse when they say it’s as good as Rolex, when really it’s the cheaper sister brand of Rolex. I liked the bronze Tudor black bay Bucherer edition I got in Paris, France.

this is really an interesting point of view for example I am a watch collector I love the two tone high end watches a very large collection including all the top five brands but I do feel sometimes concern or embarrassed or even worry about wearing something so expensive but unfortunately those are the watches I love.
@BennissonWatch

What makes you feel embarrassed about wearing your high-end watches? Wear them with pride, just make sure you’re careful where you wear them as more and more people looking to steal and harm are aware of certain brands like AP and Patek these days. When out to events, nice dinner, and/or networking I wear my most expensive pieces. When around other watch gurus and those who only know if they know, I wear something unique that’s rare that isn’t always the most expensive like a Ulysse Nardin flying tourbillon or Freak. Or a Vacheron Constantin dual time classic overseas. To each their own, but I’d say enjoy them with pride! Also, I think two tone is under valued and I do love how certain brands do two tone like Patek and Rolex

I loved that video so much, it was like watching a master chef at work. The way they handled every element was so effortless and perfect, it was like they were dancing with the ingredients. And the final product was an absolute masterpiece, a symphony of flavors that left my taste buds singing. I'm so glad I watched that video, it was an experience I won't soon forget.

Not really sure why he says Seiko is garbage. If you actually want a tool watch to really use hard. Then Seiko is the one to get. Lume is better than most Swiss brands and they're tough. The fact that they cost less than Swiss is a good thing. Nobody wants to break a Rolex because it got smashed while working or playing sports. Not every watch is trying to be a flex piece. Also I know I'm that Seiko fanboy who is in the comments. I'm ok with that 🎅
@BennissonWatch
@BennissonWatch 9 ай бұрын
Definitely a functional tool watch that’s a fine daily for beating around. That’s not the point of what’s being said from a financial asset standpoint though. Seiko holds no value outside sentiment. You could easily buy a $1000 Omega Speedmaster reduced for example that would make you money over time or at least hold value and connects you to timepiece enthusiasts who care about more than just a depreciating expense.

@@user-deleted Most speedmasters don’t appreciate, they merely hold flat if bought properly. Most don’t buy them well. I get in them well enough to make 10-30% profit on them when I exit. Some snoopy edition speedmasters and other vintage select editions do appreciate. You have to have the wherewithal to know which ones and how to buy them. That takes knowledge and capital to actually be a real buyer of one.

How about GMT Master II Pepsi or Batgirl ?
@BennissonWatch
@BennissonWatch 9 ай бұрын
If it’s the only watch you own you’re a basic Becky. They’re nice, but feel light as ever and built cheap. Kind of like the new Lamborghini Huracan. It’s all plastic and you’re paying six-figures for the car. Why would it feel so cheap at that level? Usually cost cutting on manufacturing side. I like the old-school Pepsi and original Batman over batgirl and new Pepsi for daily wear. The jubilee bracelet on the new Pepsi looks very nice but it’s still too light feeling. When I see someone wearing one out all I can think is how proud they are they finally got one from their AD who they had to suck up to in order to finally look cool in front of their poor friends. Either that or overpaid on the secondary market for one.

I think the ultimate flex, is not wearing a watch at all. And when someone asks you why, you reply, "Oh, I don't carry my own watches. My man servant wears them for me. Time? Doesn't concern me. At least not in the same sense as it does to mortals. Come here, Jules. What time is currently the most accurate to where I am standing?"

Honestly is a noble virtue. Which Tudor(s) do you have? Regarding accuracy, wisdom comes with earned experience and widened perspective. Not limited speculative opinion. If someone has only driven a GMC no one cares what that person thinks about what type of person Ferrari owners are.

Cartier ??
@BennissonWatch
@BennissonWatch 8 ай бұрын
Cartier is still a strong global brand with stay power. I don’t really admire their older models, but there are legacy pieces that will stand the test of time like Ballon Bleu, Tank, Santos, Francaise, and Calibre de Cartier. I enjoy their new models like the skeleton Santos XL pieces in shell and gold. That direction for Cartier is exciting and I hope they focus more on their watch making arm, not just their jewelry. Cartier also has a hard time authenticating their own watches, and has been known to be a pain in the butt to get parts from anymore, so having a service option like Bennisson to handle that is critical.

Not much depth to this. 7 years ago a Daytona was not a flex. Current trend for 70s inspired watches from Gerald Jenta, Need to check spelling, but you know who I mean, could easily become uncool. Rolex is better than Omega because it costs more? Movements better? Finishing better? Not really. Rolex is good value at RRP, not at double RRP. It’s a good summary of all of the usual blurb propagated by you tubers. No original opinions outside of usual hype. Richard Mille 10 years ago, pre celebrity hype, was nothing. I’m not sure it’s ever going to be timeless and classy. Missed an opportunity to actually have an opinion. How about Nautilaus looks like is has dumbo elephant ears, for those who follow hype and not style?
@BennissonWatch
@BennissonWatch 9 ай бұрын
Don’t know where to start here since you can barely spell. *Gerald Genta is his name and if you knew anything about his legacy, you might be able to throw together a valid point in the middle of all of this hot garbage opinion. Nautilus* is how it’s spelled. Clearly you’ve never owned one. Beyond the obvious that you’re just spewing fake news to feel relevant, I can’t respond to something that has no truth to it. So instead I’ll leave you with a famous Happy Gilmore movie quote. “What you have just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul”

Interesting, the link between energy and the brand is probably exactly what we all realise. For me, which energies are cleaner and more positive? And that's why I wouldn't choose Rolex at the moment, over Omega or Tudor before even considering the higher priced brands.
@BennissonWatch
@BennissonWatch 9 ай бұрын
Not saying I don’t think there’s correlation between watch brands and the energy they exude, but I don’t see any correlation of the cost they’re priced at to the “vibe” one gets. I’d say Rolex has a stronger value/brand “vibe” than Tudor and Omega. Especially because Tudor and Omega tend to be the brands people go for when they can’t afford Rolex. I think Omega is the most creative of the 3 brands for sure, but they all fall into the trap of reproducing the same droning models to pander to their fan base who wants to impress their friends. I much more so value the energy of Ulysse Nardin, FP Journe, and Jager-LeCoultre for example over the 3 mentioned.

Boy, you must have self-esteem issues. If you gotta have a watch to impress people I wouldn’t do business with anybody that thinks that they gotta have a high-end watch because a high-end watch tells me one thing you do not know the value of a dollar because like a Felipe, your AP that’s on your wrist they are chunk with Rolex. I mean Rolex was junk. I remember in the military Tudor watches and smashed them because they were chunk and Rolex has never been issued to the United States military watches ever. The military was either Hamilton Boulevard. And Timex only for six months in Omega and Casio’s shocks but all the rest has never been issued because well I know when I was in the military I bought a Rolex sub and mail. It didn’t last it was junk.
@BennissonWatch
@BennissonWatch 9 ай бұрын
I have plenty of esteem my man. I'm not the one angrily commenting about watches I don't have and don't know about trolling the internet. AP is in the Holy Trinity of watchmaking so don't know where you're getting the "chunk" perspective. I don't know what chunk is but if you mean junk, I'd be curious how you came to that conclusion. Rolex wasn't distributed to the Military. Those in service and on tour would buy and carry Rolexes with them, and were told to do so not because if they were ever in a situation where they were kidnapped, or needed money Rolex holds value, and would be an escape ticket. You can't get that with Tudor, Seiko, or other garbage that doesn't hold value globally. Has nothing to do with how well they hold up time wise.

So basically all the watches if your a drug dealer or mafia or you trying to be cool and reach lol. How about someone that is actually a Dr or lawyers or works as a middle to high class person
@BennissonWatch
@BennissonWatch 9 ай бұрын
Of course there’s staple pieces that Doctors “go-to” and Lawyers go to. Most like Rolex, IWC, Omega, and other very basic mainstream droning BS that seems like a good investment based on their limited understanding of what’s available to them. When they get educated about what they can get for their money they step up into FP Journe, AP, Patek, and other solid brands that are elegant and can hold value like Vacheron and JLC. Middle class usually elects for a single DateJust Rolex or a Tudor or an under $10K Omega. They’re usually 1 watch owners or 1 nice piece and multiple garabage pieces like Seiko, Citizens, Movado, Tag Heuer, etc. Based on your stock photo of a John Mayer Daytona and spelling errors, I can probably guess what you own too.

To be through embodying the essence of art is more real than to pretend to embody the essence of those who spent countless hours on their craft. Too many want to pretend a $500 Tag Heuer is the same as wearing a Patek Philippe, and it simply isn’t. So instead of honoring the craft and/or working hard to feel a piece of it, they write it off, make excuses and/or pretend it doesn’t matter. :)

Hooboy... valuing watches exlusively by how expensive they are gives off some serious Small Dick Energy, you know. I'm not sure I'd want to associate with people like that. That doesn’t mean that I don’t like those watches, just that it's NOT for their price. And calling several thousand dollars worth Tudors and Omegas "poor man's watch" and "basic" is just obnoxious. Not a good look at all...

Less compare the Swiss to seiko swiss the only thing they made is a turban which was for pocket watches which is useless in a wristwatch. Let’s see that was over 200 years ago. Let’s see they used to have accuracy test and Switzerland until the Japanese got involved in it and oh wait a minute they stop having that because the Japanese were beating them at their own game and they had to have tears in their beer and quit doing that. let’s see Rolex they don’t have a complicated movement because they’re too dumb to invent one. Neither has the other Swiss companies made a complicated movement.
