Ruth, another terrific podcast! Don’t ever worry about the length it’s always never enough. Love all your bright colours and all the blues you choose, going to look great on you! Thank you so much for the lovely message at the end I am a Christian as well but always love the reminders, and you do it so well. Prayers for your Dad.

Thank you, Ruth, for another great podcast. Glad to say your dad is on the mend. It has taken longer than we expected. Looking forward so much to being with you , Nigel, Eva and Samuel at Christmas if I don't catch dad's bug!! I loved that bright sweater with the fairisle yoke (and everything else!!) I've visited Lamb Hospital, Bangladesh twice and can assure everyone that it's a very worthy cause to support. We're delighted that the church building work has been sucessfully completed. What an appopriate hymn to quote - "On Christ, the solid rock I stand"! It's probably my age but I love the old hymns . They're so inspirational. Such a blessing that you've reached the 50 landmark!

Lovely as usual! Thank you for explaining what Fistula is and how it affects so many. Happy that your church has been repaired and will stand up to the weather and the river. When you find out that so many of the churches and cathedrals in the UK are standing up by willpower alone it is amazing that they survive! Thanks. Jane xx

Thanks once again Ruth. Wonderful podcast. One of my big milestones in my Christianity walk came a few months after I committed my life to Jesus. I was too shy and didn’t know enough to speak about my faith but a Monday after our church did a service in a seniors home a customer came into my fruit and veg shop and almost shouted “ I knew there was something different about you”. Her mum was in the home and she sat in the half hour service and recognised me. “ You never join in the gossip and tittle tattle and always have a good word about people”. Wow. What? I realised I didn’t need knowledge or even speak about my faith. My actions did that too. Sorry this is a long post but I thought someone reading your comments may be encouraged. God bless you for stirring memories and your encouragement. 🌻🌻🌻

Hi Ruth. I absolutely love your donkey bag. I hv a big soft spot for donkeys 🫏. The new fashion yarn is sold in our local charity shop and it is fab. I am not a fan of acrylic yarn. But i have used this one many many times. It’s fab for baby blankets and washes like a rag. I wish i still had built in central heating….i went through all that in my early 40’s and now in my 60s i’m blumming frozen 🥶 looking at you in your short sleeves. 😉🤣

Oh Ruth, you are such a good spokesperson for women in need. We never hear about these things in the daily news media. Thank you for your wonderful podcast Ruth! I related to so much of it. Your Riptide 135 Shawl is gorgeous! I just bought that pattern yesterday because I’d like to try the scarf, it’s so pretty! And I’ve been knitting on my newly cast on Coorie In Shawl and loving it. So many other inspirations too, such as the Twinset and Purl sock patterns! I own several and have yet to knit them. And the frosting on the cake, you referenced my baptism song in your little devotional. At our church when someone chooses to be baptized they are encouraged to pick a hymn they love and the congregation sings it just before the baptism. I was 30 and I chose The Solid Rock. That was 40 years ago and I still love that hymn! Hope your Christmas season is very blessed and I’m praying your father is well soon and able to join you in Devon.

Finished one pair for my daughter in Christmas striping sparkly yarn now I’m doing a pair for myself. Mine I’m knitting in red and white with green cuff, heel and toes! A lovely episode, as always ❤️. I'm looking forward to making the poncho also. I wish I could buy some red mohair to go with the red Holst that I have on hand, but buying yarn is not in the cards for a while. I do have some pretty blue yarn I could use....I don't often wear blue, and I'm not sure why not!

My tip is put a stitch marker on each double stitch so you can see where they are. You don't have to do short rows. They are just to pull it up a bit at the back.

Hello Ruth, Thankyou for another upbeat, cheerful podcast, and I always look forward to your message at the end. I listened to your Dad on sermon audio and I did enjoy it and will be listening to more, I also look forward to more family interviews. I will put him in my prayers, even though Im a little late in catching up. Im running late in my poddies, summer in Aussie has me distracted but Im slowly getting through my watch later list. One thing that has me distracted me lately is instagram. Like you with your youtube channel I wanted to share some of the precious gems Jesus has handed me over the years but didnt know how because I live a very isolated life. I have been praying about it frequently and perhaps my prayer has been answered, only time will tell. Today I just posted, what I hope will be the first of many posts on quotes I have picked up from Christian literature. They are a little collection of quotes I have written down in notebooks as they have moved me over the years, I usually had to find them very convicting to write them down or served a purpose in giving me edification at the time I wrote them. Im hoping they will have that same affect on others and that they recieve what they need, nothing more nothing less, so much depends on God moving their opening their hearts as he sees fit. Anyway I recently started sharing these quotes with my son by email, and it crossed my mind that others might be interested in what these writers have to say. I tend to enjoy the writing of vintage Christians, that is to say those from 200+ years ago. After hearing your message this afternoon about telling others, I thought I would tell you about it. Its not much, just my, not too technologically proficient way of giving back what I have recieved. My instagram handle is missuspilgrim (Im the one with the cute sheep face). Take care and happy click clacking. Tara

I think your lovely blue pullover with the colourwork yoke is gorgeous on you. If you used the light neutral colours to make it, you would look drab, even if someone else looks stunning in it. You have a lot of contrast and brightness to your colouring and because of that, that's what you need to wear, or it won't look right on you, just like me. I love light, low contrast neutrals. But they don't love me either, so I've learned not to wear them as a large piece like a sweater, near my face.
