But I genuinely love that fact that she felt like she was out of her element, even though she is a truly gifted comedian in her own right, but still always gave it her all. According to the task, the bike had to be ridden forwards at all times. So circles weren't really an option ...
@jlust66603 жыл бұрын
I suppose you (or definitely Victoria) could bullshit yourself out of that one by saying that would mean the bike could just never drive backwards, not that it wasn't allowed to return to where it came from.
@sharkofjoy3 жыл бұрын
@@jlust6660 I have thought about this extensively while washing dishes and I don't see that it betrays the rules at all. The bike is being ridden forward from the perspective of the bike rider. I felt that was more of a direction to say they couldn't just sit on the bike, or scoot on the bike...
@vamk34323 жыл бұрын
I believe the wording of the task is "forwards within the course". The course has a clear direction (start and finish line). A finish line set by the taskmaster, no less, which should overrule the direction of any mere contestant's head. So I still don't think circles would have been a possibility.

It wasn't that Baddiel was out of his comfort zone. My opinion of him changed forever, watching him in this. The degree of smug dismissal of - was it Ed Gamble? when he refused to let Ed draw on his back, was the most arrogant, public despisal of Ed, that was possible. He not only was firmly sure that his hunch based on NOTHING, was better to rely on, than Ed's attempt to draw on his back, THE ACTUAL ANSWER ED HAD SEEN, but he refused to even allow Ed to give him the answer and then compare it to what he guessed it may have been. It was a team attempt. Ed would lose as well - and Baddiel was so contemptuous of Ed, that he HELD ED'S FINGER to stop him from giving information, so little respect did he have, of Ed. It was one of the most breathtaking example of hubris I have ever witnessed. To refuse to accept any proffer of help by the person WHO HAD SEEN THE ANSWER... To choose to go with a HUNCH based on NOTHING, and as it turns out, wrong in any and every way, was both jaw droppingly self deluded and so sad, for Ed. No wonder Ed was in disbelief. Whatever Ed says, I would not work with him again. Even when humiliated, he was cr ap in his attempts, anyway Baddiel's bizarre ego was SO HUGE, he did not even consider the damage he would do to Ed's desire to win. I will never again wonder if Baddiel's opinions will be entertaining or worthwhile. I am interested in nothing he does, ever. Or maybe if Ed had to work with him again, he could repeatedly remind Baddiel of his monstrous, almost comical, ego.
