I made a mistake of taking too long to plant my rhizomes. It's November in Virginia and the temperature is in the 60's. Will they be okay?

Your growing conditions in Virginia are much different than here in Canada. We would recommend you talk to a garden centre in your area. It is always best to get some local advice. Your iris should be planted at least four to six weeks before your first hard freeze or killing frost. If necessary you can plant them in containers with good drainage and some protection for the winter. Plant them in your garden next spring.

oh my gosh! i only learned of this today, october 13! is it too late to dig our Irises and replant it in the garden? i noticed it didnt bloom so well and maybe my mother-in-law didnt do the digging and planting. bcoz she doesnt know! I`m living in northern japan and its around 13-18 degree C here? what shall i do?

Japan is very different from Canada. Please check with a local garden centre to find out when you need to replant.

I took the risk, i replant it already some in the ground and some in the pot. I`m a bit hesitant if i should cover it with a plastic mulch or not . Anyway thanks for the reply. I`ll ask my fave local garden ctr about it. :)
