Karna was well known in Hastinapura well before his arrival at the show of arms. This shows him as arriving brand new at the Rangasthala. If he was, he wouldn't have been able to gate-crash a royal event, the way it is told here.

@@Hindustaniyoddha089 i think their talking about the child being put in a basket and put in a river. Moses was born to jewish slaves and his mother put him in the river as a last minute plan to save him. Its why the jewish authors of Superman used the same motif.

It's probably because he befriended karna. He befriended karna to make himself look good or it's because he wants a strong loyal warrior as his friend or maybe it's because he actually just wanted to be friends with karna. There are many versions of the stories of mahabharat so its going to be confusing. Good guys can act like bad guys and Bad guys can act like good guys. It's all about the fight between good and evil.

I have watched the Mahabharata series on the tv. Hearing the stories again, reminds me of the nice and famous serial. The writer's and the teller's English seems to be very good. Listening to these stories is a nice way for me to improve my English. Thanks a lot. !

Its a False glorification of Karna. Even though Arjuna was a mighty warrior than Karna, arjuna didn't felt jealous of Karna. Karna traits are cunningness, power grabbing & selfishness.
