Lexi thank you for sharing! I am so proud of people in trades. I've been in the trades for over 20 years and I am happy to see more women coming in. I never went to college and now I'm a Superintendent making a great 6 figure salary. TRADES ARE WHERE ITS AT ! WORK HARD AND BE GOOD AT WHAT YOU DO AND YOU CAN WRITE YOUR OWN TICKET.

Since she’s really popular on IG/KZbin and probably Tik Tok and she has a lot of people copying her videos and putting them out there like they are her. Lexi is a guys dream girl. Self starter, Electrician, Hunts and loves to cook. Just keep pushing and ignore the haters,Girl!

I barely passed High School and went to Community College for half a semester by ditching my classes thinking I was going to "get rich" on the internet. Made absolutely terrible decisions with my money for years. Now 24 and thinking of becoming an Electrician, hopefully soon.

As someone who’s turning 30 soon. Let me tell you. You’re still young as hell. You might feel like you wasted time but nah, you learned from it and the first step to bettering one self is acknowledging your faults. Try anything and bounce if you don’t like it. Like Lexi said “you think you’re going one way and you end up somewhere else”. I’m still trying to figure out what to do myself so i might sound contradicting trying to give some advice but yeah it’s harder now cause I’ve never had any guidance but you at least seem as you’re willing to bet on yourself and try things and just can think for yourself.

If you are brand new, find a school like IEC or union JATC. I did union and I am very happy with it. Just got my journeyman’s license and the money is flowing my man! Get it!

Teachers drilled it into us early in school. Back 2001-2004 all my teachers preached degree or dead beat. Its the school systems driving kids away from a rewarding career in the trades. No better sense of accomplishment after you crush a job and it looks like the cats pajamas 👍

I graduated in 2017, my teachers always told me I wasn’t gonna be anything bc I didn’t have a plan to go to any college and they grilled me for all 4 years of high school. Im now a diesel mechanic and still never went to college, I was never good at school much like her. I thought it was pointless and based on how my life is now, I was right. I agree they drive kids away and when they finish college a lot of my friends who went to college, don’t even have the urge to get a job at all.

Great episode, podcasts are always hit or miss because the host is awkward, seems unengaged, and fails to ask good questions. This was fantastic to watch and listen to. Like two buddies hanging out. I recently found lexi on KZbin and she seems top notch. Im a 3rd generation HVACR tech. I specialize in commercial / industrial / supermarket refrigeration. In being around the trades my whole life, ive only met a handful of women who work as techs in the field, and i think its cool , lots of respect for the women who can handle working in the field because I know grown men who can't do it.
