Hi, I had the same problem in my top bar hive, a few days ago. All full of honey, no queen. I did a treatment with oxalic acid, because there is no brood, and connected a small swarm that I catch, with a fertilized queen to it. I connected them over the divider board with a wire mesh. Much like with the newspaper, I just removed it after 24 hours and everything went fine. The loss of the queen is a bit of a concern, perhaps due to the size of the hive (they say it lives shorter if there is more room to lay, my have 12 bars of brood in early spring), and if there are no other beehives nearby it may have to fly longer distances to mating fly and get lost. I still have one hive. Anyway, good luck and greetings from Croatia.

Thanks Antonio for your comments. I like your idea of adding another Swarm and using the screened divider board that makes sense. I may have to try that at some point. I just put out another video and the bees decided they did not need to make a queen cell. In a few days I will need to remove some honey bars and I will check again for larvae. If so I will try to add another bar of eggs from my other hive. What part of the season are you in in Croatia? Right now in the USA it’s June and summer is starting.

If you are in Illinois then we are close by latitude it's a same season. And the year is good for beekeeping. Maybe the problem is in the age of the bees, there are not enough young house bees that can produce royal jelly, maybe you should put some young bees from another hive to take out queen cells. Think about it. I hope you save the hive.
