Long paragraph incoming again: I see the title and I’m like OMG! I need to be on an episode😭 I have always said I would NEVER delete my Instagram, like no matter where I am in life or what I’m being called to do etc. And I had always struggled evangelizing on my IG because my content doesn’t necessarily glorifying God. And literally in July or August, I was on break at work and the Holy Spirit instructed me to delete PERMANENTLY my IG. I’ve always deactivated when I needed breaks but I put in so many years and investment into my IG that it was never an option for me to delete. The moment I heard the voice of the Lord, I was like WTF! At this point I had just come back to him to reconcile and try to build our relationship again (this is like the 100th try and final try by Gods grace). So immediately I’m like omg I really HAVE to do this?? Then I start thinking, damn I’ll have to save every of my content and photos and message people ETC. The Holy Spirit said , DELETE IT. I kid you it was 4am on my break and I just vanished off IG. Deleted everything. THAT was the last day I smoked, drank, engaged in xxx and listened to secular music. I stayed in the WORD. Literally the Holy Spirit revealed to me that I was idolizing my social media, it was literally stopping me from advancing in my faith because of the things I would see and the life I constantly worked to portray. That spirit kept me in bondage and i didn’t know. I always needed content for my IG and the content would not be content that glorified God. Now I was literally isolated and I rediscovered God in a mighty way. I have not felt the desires of the world since that day, temptations come but it was no where like before. I get a notification on my phone about the screen time. The week after I got off IG, my screen time went from 8 HOURS to 44 MINUTES per day. Like WHAT??? Bro, I don’t even know what I’m doing outside of my phone tbh cuz I also took a bit of break from work(ALOT was happening then, God was testing my faith in ALLL directions). So I literally had nothing to do but go to the gym and read my bible((I also sort of idolized the gym when I got heavy into fitness, but I think that was more of an addiction tbh)). And since then my life has LITERALLY transformed. I’ve been hearing God every single day, my faith increased, God LITERALLY used me to buy my mom a house with literally no money 😭….literally sounds crazy but we’re moving tomorrow because I’ve been moving In complete OBEDIENCE and faith. I had been praying to God to provide me with a Bible study group and crazy enough I got added to come Christian single group from my church and I reached out in the group of anyone could like to study with me because I’m so filled with knowledge from the Holy Spirit im overly excited to share. Anyways, this lady connects me with her daughter who has a Bible study group, I get added to the group chat and I join a meeting, the girl and I start chatting before the meeting started and she asked me to lead the meeting, mind you, that was my first time with that group, I’ve been writing down “sermons” and Bible study notes from what I study on my own so I led the meeting. Then she makes me a CO-LEADER of the Bible study group of 30+ people. I was in COMPLETE shock of how the Lord was moving. THEN this same girl tells me she has an Instagram page with a broadcast channel of hundreds of people who she had added that told her we’re interested in Bible study but couldn’t add to an iMessage group chat; she then asks me if I want to be a collaborator on that broadcast channel! I’m like LORD is this how you really work???!? Allllll within a span of a month of deleting my IG page, now the Lord wants to RE-introduce me to social media as a new person, a woman of God. I’m still praying about that because I’m a bit nervous but I’m so grateful for the opportunity. And it’s amazing how Jehovah works when you follow in obedience and put HIM first!

Yess! To piggyback on the fasting, the Holy Spirit led me to fast during my transition from IG and it’s crazy because I grew up in a Christian household so I’m very familiar with fasting and fasted when I’m being forced to but never gotten up and decided to fast on my own. Almost the entire month of July into August I fasted so frequently and almost up to a week at a point. And literally strongholds were breaking. I was getting revelations or manifestations of prayers my family had been praying for for YEARSSSS. Including buying the house situation, God literally led an angel to us. I had revelations about generational curses and delay that were being broken. About my moms business, about the things that the Lord wants me to do for the kingdom, things my eyes were blind to. I’ve been thinking of incorporating fasting every week or twice a week because it is SO important, the Lord moves in your moment of vulnerability.

Speaking of fasting. No one ever talks about the aftermath of fasting, and how often time we go directly back to the things that we were fasting from. It’s almost like we didn’t even fast. It’s almost like we spend the days fasting and of course God works within us, but as soon as we’re done, we’re automatically back to being on our phones 24/7. I’m so guilty of this. A lot people say that Daniel fasted or it was a diet thing. But Daniel was mourning so he decided not to eat pleasant food, the man was depressed lol so he decided not to eat delicacies 😭. Which I think is in Daniel 10. And as far the whole fruits and vegetables that he ate as daily food in Daniel 1, is a lot more profound(not that fasting isn’t profound). I believe (correct me if I’m wrong) that Daniel didn’t want to defile himself with the King’s food because the food and drinks that were given to Daniel and the others were food and drinks that a part of pagan rituals which they devoted to idols. This might be controversial pls don’t hate me lol: but nowadays our definitions of fasting are not biblical😅😅… such as fasting from a phone, or whatever physical things we idolize. I think it’s okay though, those things aren’t bad…but it’s just not biblical. I think that if we fast, we should do it biblically according to God’s word. We might as well go all out yk? Fasting from music? Okay you might as well fast the whole day from everything else as well yk?

I’ve studied this recently (1/2) RESISTING TEMPTATION * Jesus says to WATCH and PRAY - our spirit is willing but the flesh is weak * for every temptation, there is an escape route * you are not alone in what you’re going through, no temptation is new, there is nothing new under the sun. Seek God and good counsel * we must die to flesh daily , its passions, desires, lusts (see Gal 5:19-21), instead we should pray to be spirit filled, displaying the fruits of the spirit * the word says to FLEE from sin, stop entertaining certain thoughts and situations, it’s a slippery slope trusting in your own strength - don’t make provision for the flesh * we should bring our thoughts captive to Christ and ask for help - better yet, pray that we are not led into temptation in the first place * when Jesus was tempted by the Devil and in ALL points like as we are, He still did not sin, He knew the word and used it as his defence (sword of the spirit) * the word says to pray without ceasing, we need to be connected to God -> we can go boldly to God to obtain mercy and find grace in our time of need, Jesus even intercedes and advocates on our behalf as High Priest

This is the only episode that I've listened to in one sitting😂. But I really enjoy the long ones because they're more fulfilling than watching a Netflix show that's not adding any value to my life. I like how you mentioned that the people close to you don't usually recognize the anointing you have or they sometimes take you for granted. I was thinking about this last week, about the story of Jesus. His own hometown didn't recognize His power and when they saw Him, they called Him only a carpenter's son when He was literally God (Matthew 13:55-58). So if people rejected Jesus, I'm not worried about what they would think of me. I connected the message to the one that Jesus preached to His disciples about in John 15:18-20. "If the world hates you, just know it hated Me first. If you belonged to this world, it would love you as its own. Yet you are not of it but I chose you out of it, that's why the world hates you." Makes so much sense about why the world doesn't like Christians and tries to shut down our message when we're literally spreading love. Nonetheless, we should keep fighting the good fight of faith (1 Timothy 6:12). Yes, it's a fight... not against flesh and blood (not the people) but against evil forces in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). It's a spiritual battle and sometimes it be your own people. Thanks guys for emphasizing on prayer and fasting because that's a great way to fight spiritual battles. I definitely need to work on that tbh. If you read this far, here is a gift for you 📖. Daniel did intend to do it as a fast. He was given the revelation of the last days, the coming of the Messiah, and great destruction. God responds to sacrifice. Thats why the bland food was still seen and accepted as a fast. Bland food might as well be no food lol. Try it.
