As a asian man, I have never though of dating a black girl. BUT after my first AMBW relationship, I am now more open and am observing more black ladies. (Only problem is convincing the parents ~Korean~)

But even I am a white guy I think black women are better with asian men than with white men. White men are to ligth skinned to match with black women.

aww you're awesome. my uni has a lot of asians so I've just recently become aware of them. it's funny because a white guy asked me if i would date outside of my race (kinda hinting towards himself) and I just laughed and said asians were cute. his asian friend was sitting with him and goes, "REALLY?!" The white guy was so pissed. I think when asian guys realize that women of other ethnicities and races see them as more than just nerds or kungfu ninjas, everything will be great :)

Good video, never really heard of positivity from an Asian male regarding Black women/Asian men relationships. Back when I was in college 10 years ago, I was involved in a predominantly Asian campus ministry. Almost uniformly, the Asian guys said that they would never date black woman. While I'm not personally pursuing Asian men (or any men - I'm happily married now), it's refreshing to see somewhat of a sea change.

I don't think he is a douche bag. I just think he was interested because you were beautiful abd desirable. But to date a stranger and get disowned by everyone is a tuffy. What if the relationship doesn't even make it past the first year? Which is plausible because the every person you date cant be "The One". Being brought up in a culture that would ex communicate you is really hard. And scary. Many people do things to keep from being excommunicated from their family. Go tell your Heavily Christian family that your a Satanist or a witch or a Buddhist. When I stopped being Christian and started practicing Spirituality I hid it from my family. And slowly started inserting more of my practice into my daily life. My family did excommunicate me to a degree. Even now I have to constantly explain that I don't worship the devil or demons. Living your truth is hard all around.

Wow from 9 years ago I had no clue that this convo was taking place. I can honestly say I’ve only gotten approached by 1 Asian male my entire life, there was another but he didn’t really have to get my attention cause we were already in a social setting at a predominantly Asian club. I will say though I always admired the fact that Asian boys in school never seemed to be intimidated by highly intelligent black girls so that alone was very comforting and it didn’t feel like competition more like respect of one another.

MelodicMic Nice to see openmindedness. It's refreshing. Being a Black woman can be difficult and awesome all in one big ball, but as far as relationships go, it's the pits, usually. I've struggled against my own family members (at least half my family doesn't understand or like it) regarding dating men outside of the Black community. Personally men are just men to me, and handsome ones are all over the planet... No matter who captures your heart, all I care about is if she's a nice woman who treats you like gold, and that you return the favor. :)

I have been dating Asian men since the late 1970s, many have wanted to get married but their mothers weren't having it, so the relationship would stop, as their mothers started causing more trouble. I'm happy to see that today more families are coming to terms with their sons happiness. I've noticed a double standard when it came to their daughters dating and marrying Black men, though; doesn't make sense to me. But such is life and we move on.

It is my mindset that having an idea of dating black women can also be contributed to the fact that USA military men of black race left behind many mixed children. I've dated American women of Asian, Latin, African and European descent, as well as two French women (one white and one Arab). IMO, the importance of ethnicity when it comes to relationships is basically nil. I honestly don't understand why something superficial garners so much attention.

It's a tough situation. From my experience, many Asian families do not know much outside their own culture which may turn into ignorance. It's sad because many will not step outside their comfort zone to learn about another race/ethnicity. But time will tell as the generations become more open.

Being in China 10 yrs ago, I felt a lot of love from the Chinese men whom I worked with even though I did not date them.
