I think this kind of podcast is so important. So many people watch shows like love is blind and don’t fully connect the dots that the people on screen are not characters. They’re real people, who can be affected by comments and online bullying. I loved hearing more from Colleen, thank you for taking the time to share ☺️

No one would bat an eye at Colleen and Matt if they had a "traditional " relationship and hadn't move in together yet. Since they were on a show, random strangers put on all this crazy pressure. The amount of time is the same and valid. Let this girl live her life

Going deep isn't about trauma; it can be about topics that aren't surface level: art, history, culture, philosophy, technology, ideas, music, theories, science, spirituality, religion, your dreams and goals, or books/movies that impacted your life, etc.

Yeah that’s what I thought too 🤷🏾‍♀️ idk why she didn’t recognize it. I feel like everyone loves trauma and the word but there are deeper things about myself that have nothing to do with my trauma
@indiva02
@indiva02 Жыл бұрын
She also said she didn't know what lets go deep actually meant to him when he would say that to her. So she had no choice but to make an assumption and think maybe he wants her to talk about some deep dark thing from her past. Which she didn't have. He could have been more direct and just asked her what he wanted to know.

I am so happy about this format. I think it does create more of a safe space for the guests than any other podcast or interview, since you were both on the show and you share this same experience. Whilst also admittedly being a fan of therapists commenting on Love is Blind, I love that people have a chance here to talk about their perspective and the things we don't see in a very different atmosphere. I am also disgusted by all the hate and superficial judgement on the internet and I am sorry for every one of you that you had and have to go through that. "it's a TV show and people want to see the fights." i actually don't think this is true with Love is Blind. People want to see those happy endings in this. People not getting married is a huge disappointment. i do think that they should bring in therapists to talk the couples through the arguments and conflict resolutions, because i think sorting these out in the beginning is a key to a happy and long marriage.

This was a great, but also a very sad episode. It breaks my heart how humans can beat down, criticize and vilify other humans they have never actually met in real life. And before any of you say 'well, they signed up for it'...I can say "I don't think your mother would be proud she raised such a hateful person, how embarrassing for her!! Are you proud enough of the hatred spew you type the the unknown to actually show your mother or grandmother?!" We can do better, folks. Choose kindness. Sometimes just shutting your fkg mouth is better than 'telling it like it is'...which you learn that reality shows AREN'T 'telling it like it is' to begin with!! I'm glad you had her on. She's genuine, smart and kind. I love her outlook on life and I'm glad she got past most of the horrible aftermath from the mob mentality. I wish nothing but the best for both of them. Thank you for this, and hugs to all three of you.

OUUUU👀 aww I love her. And I like Matt too. I was suspicious in the beginning about him, and was a bit worried for Colleen, but after seeing them together after LIB, with their posts, I came to understand that I probably don't know much about them as a couple and as individuals. Like their "ah-ha, it's him/ it's her" moments weren't shown, so as a viewer you're left wondering why and how they even ended up together and lasted until the altar and also lasted until AFTER the show ended. Hence there's a lot of gray area...even about whether they truly love each other or not, but there's obviously a deep connection there that we weren't shown.

At least for me it does and not from a place of judging. I loved hearing her perspective and I actually think she's incredibly emotionally intelligent and insightful. I think you guys asked wonderful questions and I loved how open everyone was. Also it's hilarious to me that she didn't like how cole pronounced her name. Dr Honda used to talk about that all the time on his podcast on how it drove him crazy how cole said her name as well and he really had a hard time and would perseverate on it😂😂. The only thing I wished for was a little bit more insight on the whole cole and zanab situation because it feels like zanab just got such a raw deal.

I am happy this was shared because baby I swore she was a victim of mental and emotional abuse. He seemed so unhinged. Lawd when I saw the reunion I too thought she was sitting that way because this is how abused women act. Whole time it was the damn internet abusing her. Poor baby. They didn't do her and Matt justice to show off the balance between them. I am happy she opened up more too.

I agree with Deepti. Dating can be so exhausting and it can just suck all the energy out of you.

I feel so bad that I was one of the people deceived by the productions cuts thinking matt was scary, but also I have triggers from anger and it makes sense that colleen would not be afraid because shes never experienced anything or person jeopardizing her saftey. It sucks how much stress and unease it caused her. Im honestly shocked she said she would do it again and use social media as a means to generate income because it caused her so much pain.

You guys should do a review of love is blind Brazil (both seasons)! Also of Japan! But I'm Brazilian and I know the Brazilian public loves to interact with people (or KZbin channels) from different cultures who review Brazilian things 😂

Colleen is a good person. Production is vicious. I would definitely not go on a reality show!

I adore Colleen, I’ll just start with that. She is kind and has a beautiful heart, she’s considerate of other peoples feelings. I think that when Cole asked her to get deep with him, I don’t think he wanted her to talk about her trauma. I think he wanted her to talk about her insecurities and her fears and her worries, and to just be more vulnerable. But, I think he was wrong to just expect that of her. You should never have to ask someone to go deep with you. It comes organically when you’ve built trust with them. She was never gonna go deep with him, because her heart was with MATT. If I was her friend, I would tell her that there’s not a shallow bone in her body, and in that moment, she did nothing wrong. Cole was just expecting more from her than he had earned.
