If I bought a few pairs of Mike’s Presa’s and they were all around 90 to 100 lbs. then every breeding I kept the largest puppies from each litter and kept breeding the largest puppies. Over generations my dogs would become bigger. Even though I started with the 90 lb dogs after 10 generations these dogs would be 150lbs. Bravo Kennels has been breeding Presa’s for over 20 years and in that time he has been selective breeding for a larger size, hence why his presa today are 150 to 170 lbs.

If you look his dogs and read his pedigrees you will found out that his dogs are scattered bred dogs. That’s why his size is increased and his temperament decreased.

Great interview! I agree with Mr. Morales , in regards the Presa changing, I was into Pitbulls until breeders started to mix couple years later we have the Bully.... as a Presa owner and enthusiast I really appreciate watching this interview. Great channel👍🏿

Great job! Very educational. I’ve seen the videos from Bravo Kennels. Beautiful dogs but they are pretty big. Now it’s making me think they may not be real Presas

Actually Bravo Kennels has been breeding Presa’s for over 20 years now. If you consider that it takes 7 generations of line breeding and inbreeding to create a pure breed. Bravo Kennels have done over 20 generations of breeding. His dogs are pure. He introduces Presa Canario from Spain from time to time to strengthen his lines but his lines are pure. In the beginning his dogs were smaller but after 20 years of selective breeding for a larger size his dogs are much larger. But they are pure Presas. He just kept the largest puppies from his litters for breeding.

so the breeder in canary islands did the same as italian breeders with cane corso. They started cross breeding dogs into original dogs . Instead of just using the working stock that was already thriving just in low numbers. To recreate something that didnt really need it . Just to fill the supply and demand for them.

Why dont you do one about the xl american bully,alot of people think all bullys are unfit,my xl can keep up with greyhounds and has lots of drive,there re some good bullys out there but people only want the pockets and micro that cant even breath

@@carlskyejacobson8714 still slow,fat,short,any american staffordshire terrier especially from Europe is way stronger,faster better in any way,and if you want size not working dog,you can get show dog which weight around 40,45 kg.
