I would argue that Henry was always a tyrant in the making, even in his younger days. Let's not forget his unprovoked, brutal treatment of the remaining Plantagenets upon his ascension to the throne.

I loved the end of this as a neurodiverse person with a spouse that is neurodiverse also. We do the same couch thing!

Also, there are several recorded cases of people that have lived to a very ripe old age with congenital syphilis, with no mental issues whatsoever. It has caused blindness, however, and the women concerned had repeated miscarriages with their own pregnancies.
